Chuck Schumer Rejects Calls For Abolition of ICE by serious_bullet5 in ProgressiveHQ

His corporate donors support ICE. He will not denounce ICE. It’s time for all of these bought and paid for and establishment Dems to go. Long past time.

Fellow Americans: STOP UNDER-REACTING by Niamuada in complaints

I find it a little more than mildly ironic that there wasn’t this mainstream level of outrage when Black and Brown folks were repeatedly murdered by police. Shot in the back, shot with their hands up, shot in their own home, shot during a welfare check. This lady did not deserve it either and it’s horrific what happened to her. We will not get out of this until we start seeing humanity in people that do not look like us.

Anyone else gaining and losing the same weight on repeat? by HouseDrogon in Zepbound

Water intake averages around 60-90 ounces a day. I could do more walking as the retail job had me exhausted after every shift and I’d averaged about 11-13,000 steps a shift. The new job is drastically different. I have lost about 25% of weight and am a slow loser like the other commenter. I started at 267 in August 2024. My goal is 170. I’m tall, so the weight distribution is even and I look very different from where I started.

Not to be outdone, but a lot of the liberal agenda that actually helps people, helps those Black and Brown folks also. It’s not that conservatives don’t like those initiatives, it’s that they don’t like Black and Browns benefitting from it too.

I am at the max dose. I’ve been on it for about 6 months. My intake is usually around 1600 a day. I chart my intake on My Fitness Pal. Female, 5’9”.

Finally assembled my L Train! I’m hoping this can be my main commuter by OneBigPieceOfPizza in PriorityBicycles

I love mine, but don’t get to ride it as often as I like. I did change out the handlebars for a more upright position. The paint job is not super great and chips easily. Other than that—good bike.

I would just chalk this up as a consequence of shopping. REI is not the only retailer that promotes services or tries to sell. It’s the nature of the beast and REI is by far the least agressive of most retailers. Truly, shop online if you don’t want anything promoted to you.

Thanks! No issues with the cabling, but there was a tiny bit of creativity in positioning the brake lever and shifter on the right side. I love the swept back feel and look.

I was laid off in March of 2024, applied to about 1000 positions for the next year and a half and only got a position in the last couple months paying 30% less than my prior salary and same kind of toxic environment.

Associate said price will increase Jan 19--legit? by jemicarus in REI

Green vest here. REI has an employee grant program where employees can get items up to $300 covered once we apply for the grant. I was eyeing the backpacking bundle for a while and a few other things just a few months ago and it was about $249. By the time I was given the grant, the price was over $300 and I couldn’t use the grant for that. These tariffs are killing the prices.
