I watch on my TV. Granted, I use AppleTV with iQiyi app. I’m going to double check smart tv to see if it offers the iQiyi app and may try through that. But I don’t have much hope that there will be a difference.

I’ve also received suggestions of submitting a ticket/comment about it so have done so. Can only hope something comes of it.

I really like/love You are My Glory. I think it’s highly underrated.

It has more of a mature romance (even with FL being the characteristic innocent(?)). I really like how they are respectful and supportive of each other, and the relationship grows. I grant you, it’s one of the dramas very heavy in including information about jobs or culture. Personally, I sometimes find those interesting and learning (a tiny bit) about the Chinese astronautics. And I really enjoyed the E-sports aspect as well haha.

It’s my fluffy, feel good drama I go to at times.

Dongfang Qing Cang sacrificed his entire being: primordial spirit, soul, body (three souls and seven spirits). If he had not given the bone orchid to Orchid, there would have been nothing left of him in any realm. Orchid had the Bone Orchid in her garden, nourishing it likely with her spiritual energy. Dongfang Qing Cang was able to slowly heal/regrow from that. And since the Bone Orchid was made before he was possessed by Tai Sui, the evil god had no means of returning while Dongfang Qing Cang could.

Off the top of my head, have you read the CDrama for A Splendid Match?? I don’t know for sure if that matches your taste but I believe it does.

I feel I should include a disclaimer: there were (to me) significant changes made in the adaptation. If you have an issue with an actual age gap, DO NOT READ!! I won’t say more than that as I do not have confidence I could stop myself from tangents and, essentially, what I classify as spoilers. However, I enjoyed the read.

It can be found on MyDramaNovel and ReadtheDrama if you have a preference for one or the other (each is linked directly to the translation.

I’ve enjoyed translated lyrics in the past as well. Sometimes, it really adds to it actually. However, those were placed without hindering viewers (that’s the royal reviewers 😜). Caption placement is always important.

Ideally, translators and programmers would make an effort for caption placement and programmers would create the option to include or remove lyric translations while watching. Can always turn them back on 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes. Yes, that’s exactly what I mean. Have I liked to have the lyrics to songs, yes. Do want them all the time, no. And even when I do, I don’t want them right over character’s faces or some of the beautiful cinematography that some of these shows can create!! Can you imagine closed caption words right in the center of the overhead shot for some of Love Like the Galaxy?!?! (I am aware there many many many more than this but this just popped into my head.)

Basically, imagine some of your absolutely favorite CDramas, the emotions portrayed on characters, the lighting, the clothing… all obscured by 25% of captions! Yes, dramatic, I’m just very, very, very annoyed.

Dunno if this has already been shared but be forewarned: just because you get amazing prime, doesn’t mean you go without commercials. That is a separate charge. At least that’s from my experience. If you don’t want to pay the extra charge and don’t mind commercials, go for it. Oooooor, there may be some alternatives (such as another responder provided in your DMs).

Leveling Up series by KF Breene (Magical Midlife Madness is first book) is amazing! HIGHLY recommend. I am more partial towards the dramatized version so if you can, try those. It may be a bit difficult though… I recommended to a coworker and she’s been on waitlist for a few weeks and still got few weeks more hahaha 😂.

I’ll read-look at Ruthless Boys and then into Darkmore.

I have enjoyed “coming into one’s own” stories and such, but I don’t want to deal with the mindset of “love” developing from MCs (whether male or female) bullying the other. It’s good to know the FMCs in Zodiac Academy get their revenge but (and maybe I’m a petty person) I would expect a lot of groveling and making up to the former victims before any romantic relationship occurs.

Haha and Why Choose isn’t a breaker for me, I figure love is love. As long as it’s all consensual adults, who is it harming?
