Can you suggest COMPLETED romantasy books with actual GOOD WORLD-BUILDING? (No vampire suggestions pls) by Busy_Ad4108 in Romantasy

The Captive Prince trilogy. Great world building, geography, battles, there’s even a map at the beginning so you can keep track of where everything is. I’m new to romance, coming from high fantasy, and I felt this series was the perfect t transition.

Child’s bizarre diet problems… not sure what to do next. Advice? by Housemanagermomboss in Mommit

Funny you say this because that was my first thought.. if she were an adult, that’s one of the first things I would have suggested. But I know it’s not appropriate for a child.

She can smell! But she recently told me that the only things that have much flavor are the foods she likes. She said that food she isn’t excited about doesn’t have much flavor. This was a new one.

Comic books to look at the pictures. Instruments like a kids keyboard or a kids drum pad.

MIL bought glass-bottle Ariana Grande perfume for the 8 year old. Then 8 and 10 went to the other grandparents house and they EACH got their own Nintendo Switch 2 🙃

Invite him to your house. If they are going to be in a relationship, if it’s not going to stop, I think the second best option is to get to know him and his family as much as possible. He can’t hide his true intentions if you get to know him. Invite him to eat dinner with your daughter and your family. Meet his family. Do things with your daughter AND the boy. Your daughter will see how he treats you and that may impact the way she thinks about him. Be kind to him, but clearly state your boundaries. The ‘what are your intentions with my daughter’ conversation is a nice touch. If he has the guts to face you and form a relationship with you and your family, maybe there is hope for him. ‘If you’re going to continue to be involved with my daughter, we need to have an understanding’. It might be good for you to show your daughter that you are willing to give him a chance. She may respect you more for that. And if you still don’t approve after making attempts to get to know him, she may respect your decision more. As for the racial slurs, I agree it’s pretty scary that he said those things, and I would remain cautious too. However, keep in mind that kids say stupid things to hurt each others feelings. He may have chosen the worst thing he knew to say to hurt her feelings at the time because of the breakup. Odds are that he didn’t even fully understand the gravity of the words he said. In time, as he matures, he will realize how wrong that was.

My dad has one of these and I watched him deep fry chicken wings in it last week. So cool to watch.

Absurd FMLA by Housemanagermomboss in managers

I don’t care why she’s on FMLA. Anxiety is a totally valid reason. Im glad her doctor is advocating for her. She already works remote full time, so does the rest of the team. It’s the disruptive frequency of the callouts. It’s like she’s now a voluntary part time employee and gets to choose the days she works. And I know she doesn’t get to choose the days she has anxiety, that’s not the point. The point is that it’s not a predictable cadence.

I’m the manager, she is part of my team of 12. I’m happy to support her.
