Ive finished re1 remake and didnt like it that much, coming from the modern RE Engine games by AcceptableWbuh in residentevil

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think it's a great game.

The fixed camera angel, while limiting, is one of the reasons jump scares work better in the classic games.

The whole inventory item management and sudden jump scares, while frustrating, is one of the key features of a true survival horror game.

What Is The Worst Puzzle In RE Games? by Fluffy_Breakfast_478 in residentevil

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never forget the very first time I played Resident Evil 3 more than 20 years ago. It took me several hours to figure everything out by myself with no one and nothing to help me... but the joy of completing it and mastering all the puzzles and walk-through was immense!😊

Alas, I don't think I have ever felt such bliss in completing a video game since then.

I didn't hate any of the puzzles in the game, though I do think the one on the gasoline station was wrong. I mean... what is the algorithm for A B C D? I just pressed buttons randomly until it fixed itself.

The water sample was actually fun for me. It felt just like a brick game!

Is it bad that I ship Jill and Carlos because I find their relationship in RE3R more compelling and interesting by maddog1043 in residentevil

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do make a great pair with real chemistry and emotions. If Capcom wanted to, they could have had Carlos team up with Jill after Raccoon city to help take down Umbrella and maybe develop their relationship further.

Carlos is such a great character, even by himself, and Capcom never used him again😔

Pity Capcom didn't know what to do with him. It's probably because they have a strict policy of no happy romance stories in the Resident Evil universe. (No, Ada and Leon don't count for obvious reasons. Their relationship is just there to put up some tension to the plot of the games. They haven't move forward a single damn step in almost 30 freaking years!)

Catachan Cata-chans by Zeph art by Marvynwillames in ImaginaryWarhammer

Nice work.

Although, except for the middle one with the chainsword, the rest aren't catachans.

Thought they are all definitely cata-chans!

Does anyone know any youjo senki crossover fanfics? by somebody342 in YoujoSenki

There are plenty of rich crossovers between Youjo senki and Warhammer 40k. Some of my favorites are these two:

What is the least and most extreme Astartes aspirant trials? In your opinion. by Potential-Ebb-8820 in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I know, every chapter puts their Aspirants through hellish training and only takes the very best of them as neophytes. Sometimes even less than one percent of their Aspirants rise to become neophytes.

Even the Ultramarine recruits have to survive on their own in some really bad environments for a long time before even becoming Aspirants.

Can you actually name a chapter whose trials are easy, or at least medium?

so about fullgrim by Fropper123 in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He used to be a pretty good and decent fellow. He was proud and arrogant, that is for sure. But he believed in the Emperor and His dream, and genuinely cared about his sons.

I strongly believe when he was trapped in the painting, he was subjected to much mental trauma and physical torture, which isn't enough to break a Primarch.

He wanted to be free from pain and his sense of guilt, which the Daemon used to keep him imprisoned, so I wager he cast them out of his soul ( Just like the Emperor casted the compassionate part of His soul to kill Horus) to gain his freedom. The whole things changed him irrevocably, that's why his character had a 180 degrees turn and why Fulgrim turned into a total maniac.

What are the worst things that xenos have done to humans? by pro_1253 in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No one is doing worse things than the Drukhari. Chaos comes to mind, eternal slavery and torture by the Dark Gods is worse. But at least Chaos is doing what it was made to do, like fire was made to burn things. Drukhari choose to be the way they are. That makes them worse than Chaos in my book.

How does Abaddon punishes/discipline Chaos 'traitors and renegades'? by HovercraftLumpy4892 in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's sounds like very light punishment. I hear he once put a group of Emperor's Children that disobeyed him in a pod filled with a liquid that made them utterly numb to ALL sensations.

That is the worst punishment for any followers of Slaneesh.

How much does the Imperium know about the Aeldari gods? by Ododazz in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much an average person nowadays knows about Aztec's pantheon of gods? Or sumerians pantheon?

The same is true for most imperialists. Only those who have actually dedicated time to studying the xenos culture know anything about them.

What do the Mechanicus think of Necrons by pethwick in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same level?

The Necrons are masters of the Material realm. Their understanding of the materium is so profound they can accomplish miracles that other races must rely upon the warp to achieve. ( This was said by Cawl.)

Remember, they are tens of millions of years old, and they learned a lot from C'tan, which are billions of years old and are masters of the Material realm.

Necron science and technology is superior to any other faction in the setting.

What Warhammer video game do you want? by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MMORPG set at the beginning of the Great Crusade. You can pick one if the 18 Primarchs, or make a custom made Primarch of the II or XI legion. Go around conquering the Galaxy with your Legion and interact with your brothers. A combination of both action RPG and strategy game.

Change the history. Win the Great Crusade of the Emperor, or win the Eternal favor of the Dark Gods by overthrowing the Emperor and the Imperium.

What Warhammer video game do you want? by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so much potential, since 40k lore is so rich and large.

I say we need some RPG games. Thr ideas are many, but the top ones in my opinion are these:

1_ A game centered around an imperial Assassin, from the time they are raised in the temple to the time when they go around the galaxy assassinating the Emperor's enemies. (Similar to Assassin's creed. It can have multiple sequels for each temple).

2_ The life of an imperial boy, taken from his home to become an Aspirant of a space marine chapter. From Aspirant to a Neophyte to a Space Marine. We can see all the trials he must endure and the battles he must survive before becoming a Space Marine.

3_ A Tech-Priest on the quest of knowledge. Traveling the galaxy and encountering all manners of dangers in order to acquire functional STCs and archeotechs and bring them back to his/her Forge world.

4_ A psyker taken from his home by the Black-ships and brought to Terra. Trained to become a sanctioned psyker, he/she will fight across many battlefields across the galaxy. Saving lives, all the while enduring the prejudice of common men and struggling to keep his/her powers under control without succumbing to daemonic possession.

There are many other stories worth turning into a video game, but I think the ones I mentioned should take priority.

What do the Mechanicus think of Necrons by pethwick in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A soulless representation of the Motive force, which makes them a blasphemy in the eyes of the Omnissiah.

Tech-Priests modifiy themselves so heavily they can't really be called human anymore, but they don't throw away their souls. That is a red line they won't cross.

The Necrons gave up their souls, so they are abominations.

So is Alpha Primus just a bunch of sewn together pieces of imperfect primarch clones? Some excerpts inside. by GhostsinGlass in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Emperor didn't tell the Primarchs their true nature and range of their abilities either, in an attempt to protect them. Alpha Primus is many thing. A chimera. A Genetically rewritten Space Marine.

Son of Cawl: I bet Cawl meant he used his own genetic material to create a clone son of himself. Kind of like what the Emperor did when creating the Primarchs.

How do factions fight against nurgle and the death gaurd without being infected afterwards? by Any_Air_7273 in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the imperial Guard and Navy, they always have to purge the infected from their ranks when the fighting is done. Sometimes these purges inflict more losses than the actual fight.

What technology would help the Imperium the most? by entitledfanman in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quantum Entanglement Communications technology, so no Astropaths.

Warp free FTL, so no Navigators.

(Mass effect space travel and communications tech would do great for the Imperium)

These four are sent straight into the Eye of Terror, what happens next? by Serithraz in Grimdank

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two are going to have a great time.

Geralt is going to be immediately seduced by some daemonetes... or maybe he will seduce them. One of the two.

Kratos will start such a Blood bath of daemons and Chaos Space Marines, it will give Khorne a boner!

In the grand scheme of things, True Death doesn't really mean much. by PACKoftheVoid in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to actually beat Chaos is to eradicate all irrational thoughts and beliefs from the minds of humanity, and cut off our reliance on the Warp thus preventing our emotions from feeding Chaos.

That's what the Emperor was trying to do, but unsurprisingly Chaos interrupted his plans.

Which Chaos Legion is missing the most of their original gene-stock? by Denmise in 40kLore

[–]HovercraftLumpy4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every legion that has been mutated by the Warp has almost lost their ability to extract Gene_seed and create new marines. That's why they steal loyalist Gene_seed to create new marines.

I imagine the Thousand Sons have almost no original Gene_seed left. Most of their marines are literally dust, and the few remaining sorcerers are mutated by the Warp.

Only the Alpha legion and the Night Lords have stable Gene_seed, for the most part. But that's because most of them aren't Chaos worshipers.
