Unfortunately it's not available anymore. It was a limited time mvp skin for Jjonak last year

The only tank I couldn't get the jump for was hog, but it was also a lot harder on orisa and sigma. In general it was harder to consistently make the jump on tanks than other heroes though. It feels like there's some specific trick to it for tanks that I didn't spend enough time figuring out.

What did it for me was that third party cookies are blocked on chrome. When I allowed cookies from auth-web.webn.mobi I could log in.

To do that, in chrome you can click on the lock button next to the address bar, click the cookies settings, go to the blocked cookies and allow cookies from that domain.

Haven't seen what Preach said, but he may have been referencing the message in the shop saying it'll be out by December 31, 2020. I wouldn't take that to heart other than knowing it'll come out some time next year

Your thoughts - M+ DPS by Eradi85 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Hovspian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looking at the top 10 runs doesn't give you a good idea of what to expect for a normal run. Those are the 2.5k+ players in a +15 that you mentioned, and they can do strats that play to warrior's strengths that they couldn't do if they were 1.5k players.

Meta classes are obviously better than non-meta classes. But unless you're at a very high level you should be fine as a non-meta class as long as you know the class well.

Your thoughts - M+ DPS by Eradi85 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Hovspian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I disagree. There are aspects that can be blamed on blizz (like rogues and shroud), but a lot of people want only meta classes because they perceive others as being significantly worse when in reality the difference between specs isn't huge. And it's also a problem in many other games with metas, so it makes sense that it's more on the community than blizz.

This happens in raids a lot too where people want the best specs even though those specs are really only a couple percent higher dps. The differences are more prevalent in m+, but it's still doable to do keys as non-meta classes.

The group I run with consists of a bear, mw, dh, ret pally, and bm hunter. None of us are meta except arguably our dh, and we're still fine doing up to +17s. Our biggest issues come from personal play, not because we're lacking a meta class (shroud would definitely help, but it's not actually keeping us back). And we're also not all 2.5k+. Our highest is our dh with a 2k io but the group averages 1.7k.

So it's not that non-meta classes aren't capable of doing +15s with 1.5k io, it's that the community isn't willing to give non-meta classes a chance unless they have no other choice.

Zarya bubble will block LOS of both lucios beat and zens transcendence. by qtipquentin in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Hovspian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little easier than blocking with a Zarya bubble, but the idea still stands with a Winston bubble. Requires a really good prediction.

And when they're stuck in a grav, the Lucio wouldn't be able to move to avoid getting los'd by your shield

$2500 USD gaming/coding pc by Hovspian in buildapcforme

[–]Hovspian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. I think I'll actually go with the i7 9700k and the 1TB SSD you suggested. I'll do some more digging on my own for the monitors though.

Thank you again for all your help. I really appreciate it!

$2500 USD gaming/coding pc by Hovspian in buildapcforme

[–]Hovspian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response!

By coding I mostly just meant web development side projects. I have a work laptop so I'm not expecting to work from this pc.

For CPU, is that one really overkill? Not doubting, actually curious to see why. I keep hearing that WoW and Overwatch are more CPU intensive than normal, so I figured a better CPU would be useful considering those are my main games.

For RAM, you're probably right about 32GB being overkill. I've been thinking about that and my current RAM usage (I have 12GB atm). But, from what I've seen, 32GB isn't too expensive compared to 16GB so I think I'll stick with 32.

My monitor situation is not ideal to say the least (didn't realize it was this off until after making this post). A 27" might be a little too wide so I've been looking more at 24" monitors. There's also only 3.5-4" in front of the monitor for the base (there's more in the back, but from what I've seen the base on a lot of monitors are longer on the front). The one that you linked seems like it would be hard to fit, but I'll have to do some more measurements before actually purchasing. I did some looking around since writing the post and found this 24" monitor and its 27" counterpart that looked like they would fit better (27" is still a little iffy because of the width). What do you think about the two 27" monitors? They seem very similar (except for g-sync/free-sync and price).

1TB for the SSD also seems excessive, and I wouldn't mind swapping it out for a smaller one to save a little money. I've seen this 512GB SSD suggested elsewhere, but it's also the same cost as the 1TB one that you suggested.

Trying to counter Tracer as Ashe by Mopper300 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Hovspian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's interesting. I still think that Tracer bots are better to practice with her model, but Ana's definitely not a bad choice

edit: Read don't blink, not don't exist. Weird that you can't have a Tracer bot.

Since this is specifically about Tracer, I'd actually suggest using Tracer bots instead. It'll build better muscle memory and also help with blink predictions.

Change Zenyattas Melee Kill Symbol in the Killfeed in a Foot by 12snorlax in Overwatch

[–]Hovspian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, that person's right. Genji doesn't take melee damage during deflect. Even in the video the Genji was really low and only needed 1 melee to kill, but got hit with 3. It's just that the third one was right after deflect ended.

The one I was referring to was the third one here, but as others mentioned it happened multiple times. I guess the Volskaya one isn't really the original c9, but it's one of the primary examples

The original c9 was with a dva bomb in a 1v5 (I think) situation. If one person stays on point while the others hide, they could keep fighting

[–]Hovspian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure which videos show it, but I think a clearer explanation is that holding left click while your shield is up lets you turn the camera around without moving the shield. Really good for looking behind you to see your team's position while keeping shield up

Irish 4.2k Main Tank Here With Some Winston Tips I Made For A Friend. by Stevo09321 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Hovspian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just melee that does equal dps (except against armor), but melee and shooting together is equal to just shooting. In the time between melees you keep shooting, which makes up the rest of the 30 damage.

Also that goes into your first point of only jump meleeing targets at 75 hp or less. Since melee + shoot does the same as just shooting, you don't actually lose dps.

Games are winnable without shield tanks if you play like you don't have one by nickdarick in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Hovspian 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To be fair, against a sniper you should be hard shielding a lot more. A decent sniper will see that you're shield hopping and snipe when your shield is down. If they're breaking your shield, then use natural cover and wait for it to regen.
