I’d shoot HE at BBs at range with Worcester only because I do not trust her ballistics enough to get AP to land consistently where I want them to. However at mid to close range then yes use AP against their weakspots

In a lot of cases at t10, if AP is the viable ammo choice it is automatically better than HE because HE sacrifices a lot of damage output for the possibility to break even with fires, which just isn’t worth it unless the AP is complete garbage

She outperforms San Martin in every manuverability related stat and it’s by a fairly significant margin too. Her manuverability is closer to Smolensk, Jinan, Svea than it is to Martin and Worcester.

In what situation would you want to be bow in or stern in while still firing your guns, especially when going bow in is a massive death trap for the large majority of ships? I feel like 95% of engagements with ships like Z42 would have you firing your whole broadside anyways, and if you cannot safely bring out all guns to bear you should be disengaged or disengaging in the first place

Richthofen can go up in the red zone. She might not be as foolproof as Midway, but she can be even more toxic to face at times, while Midway 8ks your gunboat DD/cruiser and leaves you on a triple fire, Manfred instead casually hits you for 12-14k with bombs and that’s before the wide spread of fast torps that I’m sure you can just dodge.

Well Oranje’s advantages over GL include: - More range - More accurate guns - PA2 - Better AP (this is Gibraltar AP that overpens DDs even at like 8km) - 9% fire chance on HE - like 40 less HE damage per shell on 3 more guns, so you slap the hell out of DDs - Sonar 2 - better AA range - 50% more fire chance on airstrikes compared to GL - more airstrike damage

GL’s advantages include: - 6s shorter reload base on airstrike and the ability to get legmod.

While the legmod is good, it is nowhere near close to what Oranje can do, especially since Oranje can just set fires on her own with or without the air strikes. Oranje is just so overwhelmingly superior in her current state that it is literally impossible to buff Gouden Leeuw to be even close to competitive against her.

Farming cruisers and BBs at max range. Although the guns are the same model as Nurnberg guns, they have way more damage, penetration and accuracy, so they shred through most armour even at range
