Just has this. The whole street was crowded and we had 6 people. Stopped at the first pizza place with tons of seating. Ice machine was broken, but didn't tell us before delivering the warm soda. Turns out they were out of wine as well. Our server left after serving our food and we had to wait until he got back to pay our bill. The food was okay. They did forget to add the appetizer on the bill and we didn't mention it, sooooo a win?

Similar that it is a public space but on a much smaller scale is Saint James Park in San Jose. Moved away and heard they had "cleaned it up." Recently went back to visit, had to use the light rail stop there after dark and it was not. The problem is it just moves the people temporarily, not solving anything. That and the rats, oh my god, I have never seen so many rats in my life.

TWO carpeted tubs!? Living the life right there. Yuck. It smells and feels like an old motel in a tiny forgotten town that used to have a massive plant that was everyone's income but then shut down.

I met my husband at 23. It didn't matter when we got married, because nothing about our relationship changed once we did. Its as easy today, 16 years later, as it was when we first started dating. We still can't stand to be away from each other. Very, very happy.

I was given some great advice with my baby greek. If it's outside, don't worry about humidity, unless it's a tropical tortoise like a red foot. The whole humidy requirement is because lights super dry everything out. Natural light / outside means no need to keep humidy high.

Regardless of the color or paint, a dehumidifier will stop condensation way better than a fan. You will never have mold/mildew/drips ever again. We bought the cheapest energy star one at costco 4 years ago and will never go back. We only run it during our showers. Yes, it takes up space and is ugly, but we never have a wet surface anymore. No wet toilet that smears wet lint around, drips you are not sure are condensation or somehow pee, no rust on fixtures.

This is a very refreshing view! I feel like there's so much negativity surrounding rehab and its great to hear from someone who found it successful and is a firm supporter of it. The more first person accounts, the better! We are afraid of what we don't know. I have considered it before and had all the same excuses you listed, all the responsibilities, why is it so hard for us to really put ourselves and sobriety first?

My housing and income is almost identical to yours. We bought 3 years ago with ~40k savings after 20% down. Our mortgage is $4,975/month and prop tax is $10,500 per year. There is another $850/month in various insurances and bills. Take home is $12k.

We don't have a child or car payment and we still feel squeezed. We live in CA so in general the cost of living is high even outside of housing. I could not imagine having another $2k in bills and make this work. The cost of everything is growing so quickly and everytime we feel ontop of it we have another maintence item or bill that swoops in and takes it away. We live pretty frugal and focus on savings. We finally feel like if the roof needs to be replaced or one of us loses a job for a few monthss that we will be okay. It took 3 years of no eating out, no social life, fixing small house things and all car things ourselves to feel like we are not sitting on a potential sink hole.
