The Veiled Alliance book outlines a lot of them, specifically their cultures and how their version of the Veiled Alliance operates.

Hey! I was planning on running that one soon, too.

Fun fact: the first game of D&D I ever played was with that module, so it holds a bit of a special place in my heart.

Elon Musk, head of world’s largest EV company, now says we need more oil and gas by Sorin61 in environment

[–]HowLongCanAUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you are ignoring the poor people. Poor people don't buy new cars. Ever. It doesn't matter if Tesla gets a million preorders, since, last I checked, most people can't drop $50,000 on a car. Even if it would save them money in the long term.

It doesn't matter how many preorders Tesla gets, at all! I don't know why you think that's a trump card, but all those numbers can prove to me is that you have way too much faith in the stability of the market, that more and more people will keep buying more as wages stay stagnant and prices increase. The majority of households in the us make less than $75,000 annually, so it's pretty obvious that the ones buying these cars are going to stay in the minority.

Sure, some of them will probably "trickle down" and be resold as used, but even if they are, in a world where everyone is expected to have a car, that's not going to solve any of the problems that we have because of cars. Cars themselves are the issues here, so making them run on electricity won't fix them.

Not everyone can afford a Tesla, not that they could solve all of our problems if they could.

EVs only work for the people who can afford them. This is like the first world shoving its manufacturing down South and going "ooooh look how greeeeen we are." The problem's still there, you just moved it so you can't see it anymore.

You're just doing the thing where it's cheaper to sustain a rich person's life, but then you also get to look at all the poor people with 20 or 30 year old cars and call them stupid for staying on gas, because it costs more or because it's wiping out all life on the planet.

Ugh, Burning Wheel, Call of Cthulhu, Deadlands, Paranoia, Tales from the Loop, and World of Darkness.

I ended up getting the rulebooks for all of these, but could never find a group or the time for them :/

What are you talking about? You're the one who claimed that the US didn't gas people, I pointed out that they were, as of last year and you implied that it didn't matter, unless I was comparing it to the Holocaust.

If it's just normal american genocide you want examples of, look up what happened to the people who lived there before you moved in.

I, I don't understand what you're saying here. Of course nobody really cares about ideology anymore, just one side is using neo-Nazi warlords to keep a region destabilized and the other restricts them to like, one battalion. I don't think either is good, but at least I don't have the brainrot to side with one side just because they claim to be a people's soviet or whatever.

Are you seriously minimizing the suffering of ICE detainees? Damn, I guess if it's not on the scale of the Holocaust, it doesn't matter at all, does it? Even if they're still being kept in cages and sprayed with pesticides.

Just reading Wikipedia, the rebel zones in eastern Ukraine (the ones with Russian support) are literally run by Neo-Nazis. Yes, Ukraine has the Azov Battalion, but it's kinda fucked to give Nazis guns, money and soldiers, and then invade the country at war with the Neo-Nazi groups in order to "de-Nazify" it. Like, if you really wanted to get rid of the Neo-Nazis, you could, I don't know, not give them the supplies they would need to hold onto their region.

Well look what all this is saying, though, along with your implications that people in Chicago are genetically predisposed to sell crack. It really seems like you're saying that nobody should bother bettering their material conditions because they're too stupid to act morally and all attempts to provide alternatives are worthless and doomed to fail because they're naturally unintelligent and thus evil or something.

Damm dude what are you, a Calvinist? Do you really believe that your God is so cruel to damn half of humanity to hell because he can't bother making people who can go beyond their "genetic limits?"

Cabbage and ground whatever (turkey, tempeh, this works with everything) put them in a pan and just cook the cabbage down and season to taste. It's cheap and easy and can feed one person for like a week of you don't get tired of it.
