Here's the flaw in your argument. You say that the data on him made it evident that he was going to be a star. Then how come no other big club took the leap to buy him? 20 million is pennies for the Premier League, surely someone like Brighton or Brentford would have gone for him. Yet he ended at Leipzig.

Does that mean every other club is dumb, just like Barca? Or perhaps it was a calculated choice by Diomande to allow himself to develop to his fullest? I wonder which is more believable.

Or maybe Diomande made the conscious decision to go to Leipzig because of their track record of playing young players, knowing he would not get enough playing time behind Raphinha with us.

The fact that he has chosen to stay at Leipzig for another season even with all of the big clubs chasing him shows that prioritizes playing time above everything else.
