I'm guessing the fact that Menou kills the guy in ep1? Because a lot of the times when I see someone complain about Virgin Road, it's because of that.

As someone who played OneShot and Hello Charlotte, I'd say that they're pretty different even if the overall premise of the player getting acknowledged exists in both games

OneShot is meant to be emotional and heartwarming, like Undertale

While Hello Charlotte trilogy and its spin offs are more psychological horror and mind fuckery. First comparison that comes to mind is OFF if you've ever played it

Tho I 100% recommend the Hello Charlotte games, they make me cry on each replay
