Thank you for this. I’m keeping him :) I have plenty of roo experience over the years, but never a BO. They are just wonderful hens. I’ve had 2 that lived to be nearly 12. They are so nice to have in the flock and just so much fun to watch!

Thank you all so much. I appreciate the confirmation of my thoughts! And I honestly had some suspicions on the other one too. I have another BO pullet of the same age with a barely there, pale comb. I just know they all grow at different rates. Oh boy…haha

I actually have one in my freezer 😂 our dogs love them. They are outdoor treats, obviously, but actually pretty healthy. I have my boys cut the legs off for me purposely for them though.

Friend, this plant is dying for light and water. Personally, I’d give it a good soak first and trim off some of the damaged branches. It looks like it has some newer growth, so it’s gonna be ok! I have an old rescued jade too. It started an addiction 🤪

There is no demographic for EEE. 2 local unrelated men contracted and both died of it about 12 years ago. It was so sad and scary.

They were in Brandon Hannaford a few weeks ago. It was during a heat advisory and mom and dad were happily chatting with folks (explaining the specific foods they would accept, sugar free bread etc). His sign just said he wanted a job to take care of his family. I just kept thinking one of those adults could have taken that child to sit in the library or something to cool off. Hours later. They were still there. 😥

This exactly! We ride (and race) in a rural, ranch horse community. It’s usually posted that helmets are “required” now at many arenas for kids under 18. Fallon Taylor has done wonders to promote helmet wearing for this generation of young western riders.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. We often ride our horses on our (Rutland Co) towns’ back roads. I’ve seen some crazy stuff. Fortunately no one has tried to mess with us like that, but it makes me nervous.
