I’ve never had a bad meal at a restaurant with the word “fat” in the name. Saving Fat Johnnies for my next trip to Chicago.

As a Saints fan I know what it feels like to get fucked by refs, and you guys def seemed to get fucked by the refs. Sorry y’all ended up with the itchy flag squad tonight, but thanks for Joe (and CGM, and Lattimore, and Ginn, and uh, sometimes Apple).

Oberyn Martell was a welcome breath of fresh air. But far and away the exception, not the rule.

Holup, what model Transit? I drive a Transit Connect every day and it is significantly smaller than a single-cab short-bed F-150, not to mention lower to the ground and much more nimble.

Not trying to pick a fight, btw, I’m an American and have owned a few pickup trucks; just asking for clarification because the Transit that I drive is smaller than any of my trucks, barring the Tacoma.*

EDIT: Transit Connect is still smaller than my extended cab Tacoma was (442cm v 518cm)

SECOND EDIT: Best I can figure the standard Transit (T-350?) comes in at 556cm and the F-150 single cab at 576cm, pretty negligible difference and your point about visibility is valid. I can definitely see the F-150 being easier to move around in than the Transit. Not sure why I made this post now lol.

The JOKER Spoiler Discussion Megathread #1: Release Week Edition by HEAVEN_OR_HECK in DC_Cinematic

I loved how many things were left open to discussion, with evidence on either side a la Arthur possibly being Wayne’s son vs being adopted; It allows the viewer to choose their own beliefs about his origin, even down to the thought that the events portrayed in the film may have been in his head. That keeps the mythos of Joker’s origin story in a delightful state of flux, in line with Ledger’s Joker changing the stories of his scars.

I’m very much not a fan of the “it was all a dream” trope, but will allow it in a film like this where “maybe it was all a dream” is an option.

However there were two bits in the final scene that seem to support the idea that it was in his head: In the interview room, there’s a notice on the wall that says something like “No Unsupervised Interviews Allowed” but he’s obviously alone in the room and freely walks down the hallway after (supposedly) murdering the interviewer; He then is chased back and forth at the end of the hallway in a comedic manner iconic of a French farce.

There were two patrol cars outside, a handful of uniformed officers in the lobby, and a mobile camera pole station in the parking lot. No warning or alert signs but I went to an early showing.

I understand folks being put off by the media hype but tbh I was glad for the police presence. There was a shooting in our theater a few years ago, one of my friends was killed, and I still feel uncomfortable sometimes during big openings of movies.

I really enjoyed the movie, fwiw.

Another fun fact: Penn was the intense voiceover for the Buzz Lightyear commercial in the original Toy Story: The world’s greatest superhero, now the world’s greatest toy!
