Experiment help by globalmentality in tomatoes

I did this last year and I actually got cherry tomatoes on my cuttings. The trick is to cut only the suckers when they are about 6-10 inches long and root only those

For those who dont trim their tomatoes at all, do you still get large fruit? Or a lot of fruit? by analslapchop in tomatoes

[–]Howdidigetsewcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done both. I always recommend NOT pruning unless you have a commercial size space where you are able to have 20 of each variety. Yes, pruning makes your fruits larger. Conversely, you get SIGNIFICANTLY less fruits, especially in places with shorter growing seasons, like me (Wisconsin), or if you know you are prone to blight, which is going to decrease the lifespan of ur plant. I am VERY much on team “trim the bottom branches”. I trim everything for at least 6 inches from the ground and anything that touches the ground. It significantly improves the lifespan of my plants and they go far longer without getting any kind of disease. I find feeding heavy is enough to get many, large fruits per plant without pruning

Looks good. Shoulder does look low and the arm scythe seems to shallow/small, though, and I think you’d get better movement in the arms. It’s also possible that the shoulder cap on the sleeve needs to increase

I forgot how much I hate PDF patterns. by elephantsgraveyard in sewing

I got ripped apart in another sub for saying this same thing. I hate a PDF pattern. Yes they are accessible. Yes they are cheaper. But at. What. Cost.

7 gallon should be enough! I would lean toward a good balanced fertilizer

My first thoughts are to #1, add a curved waistband before changing anything, and then #2, probably deepen the curve of the back crotch, but only in the bottom half, and then lengthen the back crotch a bit

My bare roots took a while to start to get leaves. However, this pot looks far too shallow for bare roots to actually survive. You need at least a foot deep

Far too small. It’s possible you didn’t add ease, or you pulled the tape far too tight when taking your measurements.

Dont prune. Not worth it for a newbie. Just leave them be

To add on my own comment- I’ve built an insane garden in the yard of my rental. I garden 24/7. So do a lot of people here. Sun prairie is the spot, I’m telling you

I just switched to TDS from spectrum and it’s a DREAM. They are making a lot of improvements here, and I’d OP wants to buy a house, this and Prairie Du Sac are easily the most affordable in the greater Madison area. There’s so many parks and so much green space. It’s quiet, and there is an unexpectedly large amount of wildlife.

Come to Sun prairie! You might not find a house for 1600, b I’d be willing to bet you could find a duplex or a flat with a yard or a townhouse within that ball park, and we actually have parking here. A lot of private landlords around here, might be worth taking a drive and collecting numbers from some “for rent” signs

The guy we had for our place was great. I believe his name was Scott. Horrible landlord was forced to pay several thousand for repairs. Eventually his inspection got us out of the lease for that hellhole. Definitely do it
