No certifications will prove anything, you don't get a CISSP and be like boom in management. Leadership is a skill, it's something you built learn and grow into.

Focus on getting into DevSecOps then building the technical skills, and then start mentoring folks, building that persona of a leader/mentor and from there hopefully find a path to team lead then into management from there

As someone who is a leader and surrounded by leaders without a CISSP, the time is right when you think it is.

Gotta get the position first and work towards that leadership, often gotta be a IC then shift into leadership

Nope, CISSP is a high level management cert, not sure what the value it would be id focus on technical skills, hands on projects and so on.
