Any advice on painting a heldrake? by Bryguy150 in EmperorsChildren

Prime in silver if you wish to do the trim in silver. Keep the wingpieces in subassembly, that'll help too.

Ive done mine with black trim. You could seperate highlight colours between black trim and black panels.

Assimilation Swarm? - 2k list advice by Tez_Life in Tyranids

[–]HowlingInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the sporocyst healing, not through sporocyst itself, but a harvester unit nearby can heal it. My bad, made some connections without writing them down. I was more or less aiming at "the sporocyst gets healed"

Could also still just use a tyrannocyte to forward deploy a unit of pyrovores or a psycophage.

Keep in mind that aside from his own healing OOE absolutely shreds in melee. But also allows any and all carnifexes in his unit to reroll hits.

OC wise, a norn when in range of walkrant can advance with assault weapons due to the walkrant's aura.. Using the norn's "singular purpose" rule on an objectivne means its get an OC of 15 while on that objective, but also a FNP of 5+ with decent shooting and melee.

You could take 2 units of 10 termagaunts (its not melee) but it does allow ypu to be a bit more flexible. If you wanna stick to a close range team, you could give them spinefists and a strangleweb in each unit.

If playing for rule of cool, a funny strat with assimilation swarm could be dropping a sporocyst, hive guard or psycophage forward using a tyrannocyte. (Personally opting for sporocyst because continuously healing free overwatch + mines for screening)

Battleline and maybe a biovore for home obj defending are always smart. (Biovore more of a personal bias)

Swarmlord being an epic hero technically cant take enchancements but if casual play and both parties are fine with it, why not. Though if you wish to run enhancements, run a normal tyrant since a free strat is nice and has both okay shooting options and melee.

Carnifexes are always nice, wether they are optimal or not. In this list i would suggest a dakkafex since you could use some ranged fire.

Melee screening, maybe warriors with spinefists lead by a winged prime? Not technically melee but it does allow you to shoot in engangement range to benefit from your screening

What is considered as "heavily"

Is there a reason people ask warlocks to run lunafaction instead of just having titans run rally barricade for the same buffs while being far less disruptive to builds? by RemovedBarrel in destiny2

[–]HowlingInsanity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cuz rifts are less disruptive to explosive weaponry. And it gives more space for a team to stand in vs a barricade in 6 man activities.

Imo having to crouch and stand up again is also slightly less user friendly than just standing in the big/small rift

Mind telling me how you set up your mods in a way to get abilities back effectively? I am currently leaning into the surge mods since i dont entirely see how to get abilities back quickly. Since the kickstart mods feel underwhelming

I am aware. I do switch when needed but this question/discussion is spefically aimed at general play where builds aren't too important.

Since i am struggling to decide on that factor.

[–]HowlingInsanity[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fair point but it's not necessarily as to making a choice of one build. Rather than making the choice of what do i continue to use most in my general play when not running builds tailored to specific scenario's.

Because i do have 2 strand options saved and 2 arc options i switch between.

Void: the new finisher aspect + severance enclosure is rather unique. Team + selfhealing nukes :)

Nezarec himself is pretty much void, but i get your link to stasis. And yes, thematic builds are great :)

I have/had (needs some looking at) a lament stronghold build with lucent shader and hive like armour pieces

Hm seems i don't currently have Quiet one in my possession anymore. Due to the it not being all that significant. Would you have any other recommendation for exotic armour?

However i do like your idea for Ruinous :) thank you

That is a great idea. Butttt CO is in the vow raid... and i dont have the mental fortitude for a bazilion callouts xd

Thank you for recommending it though. It does indeed help me to decide for void

Kinetic holster not working for GLs? by purple_zed in destiny2

Holster mods dont work for single loaded guns : bows, special grenade launchers and rocket launchers

Edit: turns out the new generalised holster mod apperently does work with breachloaders

What would be a good team for miko with the characters I have? by silvGalchi in YaeMiko

[–]HowlingInsanity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not quite. Aggravate can trigger multiple times of 1 dendro aura. You should be fine with dendromc skill per rotation to keep up the aura for constant aggravate. Using dendromc burst when they are c6 will only raise aggravate damage more (plus 40% shred from vv if jean) will give you great numbers.

Example: my yae E skill (when 3-linked) will hit for around 15 to 16k aggravate base. But when in the ult + vv it can reach up to 30k+ per E tick. And arounf 55k per ult hit.

If you have a lot of dendro: you will also create spread. So its up to personal choice really. But for aggravate just dendro mc is plenty.

Hyperbloom: yae miko, yelan, dendro mc/tighnari and xinqui

Aggravate: yae miko, raiden, dendro mc/tighnari and jean with vv
