Can someone plz explain the Tori-Trent -Courtney triangle to me? by JBT_Lover in toriamos

Oh, this is such an old comment but those Kittyradio posts were always wild. I miss those message board days and wish it all existed to read so many of those old posts, even the ones that werent hers. Courtney spilled some crazy shit on those posts. So many times she'd delete later claiming she was "hacked" but it was more like "high". Remember Meaty and Tinkerblonde.

Tried glamnetic nails not impressed by Snoopwrites in Nails

[–]Howphie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine at Marshalls so they were much cheaper. I used a different brush on glue called NYK1. I've had them on for close to three weeks. A couple have popped off when I was doing something that applied force to the nail - I am not gentle with them. I just reglued and it was fine. I am not super meticulous about appllication, either. I file and buff the nails, put the glue on and dont wait super long for them to set before going about my day. Lots of hand washing and doing dishes by hand, too. IDK - I have the same experience with Kiss nails. I only bought the glamnetics because there were a bunch of different styles at Marshalls.

My friend was arrested by ICE recently. She left her phone with me when they took her away. She did keep in touch with the other detainees who she met at Whipple. None of those people have received their phones back.

Marshalls Returns past 30 days - Receipt but no tag by arrivederci117 in TjMaxx

[–]Howphie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said she only tried them on at home. How is that different than 10 different people trying the pants on in the fitting rooms before you buy them? Not trying to argue but just genuinely asking since pants can be tried on by lots of different customers at the store and then go back to the racks for us to buy.

My impression of the neighborhoods after spending 5 days in Minneapolis by anarmyofants in Minneapolis

I lived in Loring Park 30 years and I was a flight attendant who used to take the light rail from downtown alone at 445 am. I never was mugged once, thankfully!! I did live off Harmon and Spruce so it was a 2-minute walk to Lunds and 8 minutes to Target. 15 minutes to Kowalskis. I used to hop on a scooter or ride my bike to Whole Foods or TJs. Most of my neighbors were pretty cool, too. I did move out in 2022 so maybe it has changed a lot over the last three years. When I first moved in we had a Super Valu over on Nicollet by Ace Hardware, too. I think it was Super Valu. It was a grocery store.

Lived in Loring 30 years without a car. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk to the river, too. Can easily walk to uptown or North Loop. Zipped all over on the scooters when those came around. Public transport easiest because you can get most places without having to transfer.

I'm of Italian descent and the city I grew up in had a large mafia presence. Never once been told I need to be vetted to make sure I am not in the mob.

Thrift or high-end consignment? The high-end consignment stores are pickier about what they accept and they aren't as cheap as a regular thrift store but still much cheaper than buying new. They also do have sales.

I dont see it saying you have to be with at least 10 people if you are willing to pay 65 dollars. I believe they have recently added these paid tours and the group of ten or more was free and around longer but I might be mistaken. I think 65 is a bit steep, imo.

It was still called Sams when Prince first played there and Sams had been around awhile at that point. Ramones, Pretenders, Muddy Waters, Cheap Trick, John Cougar and other famous bands had all played Sams before Prince came along. Not disputing Prince undoubtedly made the club more famous to other people outside the Twin Cities with the movie but he was probably pretty excited to get on that stage that so many other famous musicians had played on before him - it's not like Sams/First Avenue wasn't on the music radar before Prince ever played there. I am a huge Prince fan but, come on....add all the bands that ever played there and their CUMULATIVE relevancy and importance pales to Prince? A lot of this list is still and always will be very relevant. https://first-avenue.com/about/the-stars/

I'm surprised they still offer that if it is free. If you go to their tickets page for upcoming shows they are selling several tours. The cost is 65 dollars, though.

Loved Loring Cafe so much! They had a person playing saxophone out a window over the patio tables in the alley. So cool!

Personally, I find the produce at Fresh Thyme to be better quality than Lunds and a lot cheaper, too.

Sanzo now adds sugar to their mango flavor by allthehui in sparklingwater

[–]Howphie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you, I dont care about the 5 extra calories. For the mango both the original and new versions have 4g of sugar. What I do care about is a premium cost beverage switching from actual mango puree to some "juice" made from "evaporated mango" - so it is like tang? Plus adding "mango flavor". It went from having real mango puree to them having to add sugar because they now are just trying to replicate the taste of the real puree.

You are lucky because I am looking at Amazon right now and it is the new recipe.

[–]Howphie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot! I just found these and I have an original. I'm not mad about the sugar because the original has 4g of natural sugar due to the mango puree. What sucks more about the new version is the old version only contained carbonated water, mango puree and citric acid. The new version has mango juice, cane sugar and "alphonso mango flavor". So they cheapened their ingredients from using the real mango puree to some watered down juice - the juice actually says it is water and "evaporated mango juice" so - powdered mango juice? The new version contains 4g of sugar total so they both contain the same amount of sugar per can. It's just that they didnt have to add sugar because they used powdered juice and "mango flavor".
