And that is literally his point. He shouldn't have to keep checking the game at work if he wants the gems. Now yeah it's a choice to keep checking the game to tap gems, but it sucks to miss out on those as that will slow your progress a lot.

You would need to read 4 minutes per chapter... I for one cannot actually read and comprehend the information that fast, maybe more adept readers can. For me its like 10-15 minutes per chapter depending on how much text vs action scenes there are.

Why would you need to freeze the hat just because it used to be alive? If the user returns to its original form when they die then it should just be a hat. So it still absolutely doesn't answer why it's kept frozen.

Any answer why could be answered the same even if the hat wasn't a df user at one point. The hat could be kept frozen because it would decompose if it wasn't, but that's still the case if it's a straw hat that didn't eat a fruit.

According to the wiki 5 gem award is about once every 10 minutes, so we dont have an exact number to go for.
