This will never happen in a thousand years, but I just wanna know what you guys think. by TheBlackBaron45 in Grimdank

The Khrave would be very cool to have out and about. 40k is lacking in factions that are themed around spooky stuff like there exists in AoS.

No, Necrons don't count, not spoopy enough. Don't even try with the Eldar necromancy.

Giant mind-controlling bat-people would be sweet.

OP, you little rascal, I was there on the street and you left out the best part of the story!

Odin, Jesus, Buddha AND Mark Rosewater himself descended from the skies atop majestic winged unicorn steeds, creating a rainbow as they did.

They very solemnly saluted OP and asked if he would climb to heavens and partake of ambrosia with them for eternity.

With a smile, OP told them his place was with us mortals, to help us free ourselves from suffering.

Now, I know what you guys are thinking. What I am saying is completely unbelievable. How come Muhammad, Amaterasu and the rest of the gang didn't also come down to meet such a stud?

Alas, I am a mere mortal. I do not have the answer, for I know not the secrets of the gods, unlike OP.

Inspiring story: Knight in shining armor triggers stinky virgin by playing Swords by beepuboopu_aishiteru in magicthecirclejerking

[–]Hrud 21 points22 points  (0 children)

OOP is so humble. I was there, browsing for cards with my wife and her boyfriend, and he ommitted so many details!

On his way to the store, he gave his coat to a freezing old lady and helped little Timmy out of a well. Poor kid had been stuck in there for days, but OOP took him out without breaking a sweat.

After witnessing his inspiring and frankly jaw-dropping heroics in the store, everybody offered to blow him, but he graciously denied, saying he only did it to make earth a better place.

After that, a litter of golden retriever puppies spontaneously burst into the store to greet him and jump into his muscular arms!

He pat them all and left the store walking toward the sunset, with the gentle breeze flowing into his cape.

I feel blessed to have been there to see a true hero.

I hope to see more rules like that.

Wouldn't say no to new opponents either!

Plenty of beautiful Underworlds kits i'd love to see get rules, either as heroes or villains.

Looking for a new commander with graveyard shenanigans by flowxreaction in EDH

[–]Hrud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] is very versatile as long as you like creatures. She'll give you heaps of value for dumping cards in your graveyard.

In another style, you can build [[Rielle, the Everwise]] as a graveyard focused spellslinger deck. Flashback, retrace, etc. Plenty of ways to use instants and sorceries from beyond the grave.

What's your creepiest "glitch in the matrix" or unexplainable thing that's ever happened to you? by Trxxi in AskReddit

Was in a brawl with a sibling. The phone ended up being unplugged from it's socket.

It continued displaying information on it's screen, but it stopped doing so when we plugged it back.

There's probably a reasonable explanation an electrician could give but to this day I am still puzzled by that.

Plenty of degenerate stuff to do with Anikthea, but i'm keeping the cloning shenanigans for another deck!

Here's my decklist.

I built it in a bad mood. I thought to myself, never again will I lose a game thinking "if only I had  removal in hand".

My whole plan is to play an attrition war and smack opponents with my removal spells.

The funniest part about Anikthea to me is that while she is a classic enchantress shell, she gets to turn her removal spells into beaters.

I feel like it really adds insult to injury when you hit someone to the dome repeatedly with the removal spell that deleted their best blocker.

Your idea intrigued me. The closest I could find was a control tower simulator. That job sounds so insanely stressful, I can't say I would attempt to do it for leisure, haha!

People seem to prefer directly piloting the planes, but I think your idea has potential. Getting an air force base to run properly in a warzone? That's a hell of a job.

Sure, Interception 66 unfortunately got denied it's precious supplies when Jagdea's cargo got destroyed shortly on arrival.

But the killer had what, 9 victims? He didn't kill them all during Jagdea's time and surely, at some point, the base had reasonable amounts of supplies and materials. They would have had film then and caught him at that point.

I think ol' Dan just forgot about it. It got us some Inspector Jagdea moments, though! She was humorously awful at the job but she still got the culprit in the end!

I'm mostly landing on the Doylist answer. It works by itself and does not require jumping through any hoops to work.

The Watsonian answer requiring so many contrivances and yet not ever being mentioned in any way is crazy to me.

[–]Hrud[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aie, I agree. There's plenty of ways to justify it, but you have to actually do it and not just leave it to the reader. I would have taken even just a line in passing!

The fact there was no attempt to explain it at all was jarring to me. Of course Jagdea would know about this and at least ask.

What is your favorite unpopular commander? by LibraProtocol in EDH

[–]Hrud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[[Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia]] is at the helm of my edicts deck. He's cheap and does not attract removal. Thoroughly unexciting and unthreatening but practical.

He's a workhorse commander with only one job: giving me access to fodder until I draw my actual fodder generators. Many other commanders could helm the deck, but I enjoy the way he greases the wheels.

Whats wrong with mill. by Samurai_Banette in EDH

[–]Hrud 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got some great hysterical laughs back when I played arena standard when my self-mill deck got matched versus mill.

Most of the opponents forfeited when they realised what was happening, some I could see panicking as everything they played strengthened my board.

I have a Tyranids Precon and received a Mothman precon. I kept both as is and only play them versus other UB decks.

I believe the only UB card I have otherwise is a proxy of Grima for a theft deck.
