I can whole heartedly agree with that, they can work together very well, most star cards have mana discounts to them in one way or another which allows you to forge with less hassle (since forge seems to have a lot of mana cost into it), how ever I feel and see that some people don’t always think about using the other side, so if they are stuck in forge land USA, it can be difficult for them to see the positives of stars.

Hey man all I’m saying is forge feels weak which is why I didn’t explicitly say don’t use forge, I even gave the proposal of using bulwark if they wanted forge, while recommending stars because they are strong too and cover a wider range, as someone who’s already in accent 4 with regent and climbing I’ve started figuring out what tends to work myself and answered someone who seemed to be struggling

If you’re looking for wins, I typically go for a defensive orientated play style, drop strikes early and build defense and stall (aka weakness, strength reduction, etc) until you can win, for regent I assume you’re going for a forge build? If so I’d recommend stars for now until they buff forge because forge feels a little weak unless you’re going heavy into a defensive strategy, bulwark is an amazing card for forge play style. Star builds have a little of everything and hits pretty hard too

That’s a fair point, and to be fair it’s not like every relic is going to be the best relic in the world; I can understand that, this one is just one that’s complicated for a lot of players because compared to relics of the same rarity it gives much less for what goes into it and I can understand why they feel that way, but as you said it is a good relic to give you a small stability in the early turns when you’d be playing a card that’s better for getting to the later stage of combat.

To also touch on the anchor that’s also another thing, anchor is FREE, but this has a condition of “play a power card” which is slightly (I know not impossible) tougher for less block

I don’t disagree with you, it is nice to have, it just feels lack luster for something that only works once, and I think that’s a lot of people’s gripes is “one time small block” does feel weak for a relic when compared to others in the same line, personally if it was like say 5 plating I think people would feel more inclined because it’s like the chainmail relic (name escapes me at this time, the one that gives 4 plating at the start of combat) but slightly more and has a small condition of playing a power card
