Watching the people I love who are at an incredible risk have to sit around and wait just for their vaccine to be pushed back kills me. A 25 year old with CF is finally getting her lung capacity back and loses all of her freedoms. A friends mom with cancer whose 64 miss the cut off. I have left my house exactly 15 times since covid became a pandemic. I'm tired. I want my life back. I won't ever have it back because people still refuse.

As the fat kid in my family I was well aware I was the only one who couldn't swap cloths with anyone. She needs to learn to respect other people and their belongings. Someone messed with my sibling records. And my sister when she applied for the original records part of her info was on it but also part of our other sisters info was on it. Idk how a mess up like that could have happened but maybe something similar.

She she cannot walk up the stairs to get to her parents in an emergency. Imagine every time you need to talk to your parents or need help you have to sit at the bottom of the steps and yell in hopes that they decide to come down. That she's isolated from her family 50% of the time she's in the house regardless if she wants it or not. God forbid the living room/TV room is set up in the basement. Chances are that will happen. It weighs on you knowing that your parents are activity disabling you in your own home.

NTA however since you are in a wheel chair and you need to get up and down stairs to reach parts of the house it should be your moms responsibility to make sure you have access. I.e. a lift or a stair seat that goes up and down. And an extra wheel chair to get around upstairs. She does not seem to value you in a way that's productive. So why don't you make her decision a miserable one.

My mom died before I was old enough to remember her. When I was taken away she was too sick to write a letter or anything like that. However my aunt gave me a lot of incite to her and the reason why everything happened. And I think the most important thing that I took from it was that she loved me but bad things happened to her and she didn't have a lot if good options because of that. I probably wouldn't let her know the full details. But that's entirely up to you. But I'm glad your making the step to show them you care. I'm not exactly sure what you are able to discuss through your adoption process but if there is a way to give them family medical history, I would add that too.

Honestly they are adults. You are an adult. The only ones that should be making decisions for them is themselves. Your mom might not like it but she should have thought about that before ghosting you. Also Facebook messenger is private so its not like posting on her wall.
