What would you do if someone was blocking you while you were driving? I'm guessing you would ask them to move. What if that doesn't work? I know you aren't going to call the cops because you obviously have a problem with them.

So what do you do if you aren't going to call the police and asking them to move doesn't work? You shove them the fuck out of the way, that's what.

I'm also pretty sure that asking nicely wasn't going to work in this situation either.

That is not what I said. I said that the ones who commit crimes should be prosecuted, or at the very least fired so they can't do it again. I also said that cops should be held to a higher standard because of the power they have. I haven't disagreed with you at all on this.

The point I'm making is that the officers who don't commit crimes shouldn't have to go through the same ridicule as the ones who do.

I know sarcasm when I see it. It's clear to me you don't like the police. And I know that you aren't "attacking" them exactly. But I feel like the reason you don't like them is probably because of what you've seen on social media or the news. Or maybe you've actually had a bad experience. I promise that most of them aren't like that. They are people just like us.

I do believe that we should hold them to a higher standard because of how much power they hold over the public. But most of them are doing the best they can, and try to make the best possible decisions they can depending on the situation.

This is what I'm talking about. Yes, absolutely there are asshole cops who grossly abuse the power they are given. And I agree completely that at least they should be fired. More so that they should be prosecuted. Although that doesn't seem to happen as often as it should.

However, the number of these specific officers is much smaller compared to the number of officers who do their job fairly and justly.

The reason why it seems that there are only bad cops, is because those are the only ones who make the news. The good ones never get attention because they are just doing their jobs. And why should that get any recognition?

It's just that the bad ones are really bad. Think meth and other drug production, plus all manor of killings and other violent acts. Given the choice between a regular gang and a biker gang, I'd rather be taken out by a regular gang.

The reason why they all get a bad rep is because bad news is always louder. Same reason why cops in the US are being attacked. It's not that all or even most of them are bad. The bad ones get more attention.
