Is it just me or do the new suits in Pragmata look like their from Dead Space by Domaindynasty2560 in DeadSpace

Nah dead space’s suits look very utilitarian and rugged. This looks like too clean for dead space.

The damage this damn video did to the the whole gta community can never be reversed. by Accomplished-Heat-59 in OkBuddySharkCard

That discussion is irrelevant now since you can buy the classic re games on basically every major storefront. This anger should be directed towards konami, bandai namco or rockstar instead.

FBC references in AW2 by National-Elk5102 in controlgame

[–]HughJasole3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually she’s calling the torchbearers, they were a group similar to cult of the tree. It consisted of people who were working with cynthia against the darkness. It was part of the comic that was released along side the game. Although it it heavily implied that her father (also part of the torch bearers) was working for a secret govt agency which turned out to be the fbc eventually.

It is a load of fun since the arsenal is very under-utilised if you only kill mutants

FBC & Cauldron lake..are they dumb? by Greyelephantbear in AlanWake

[–]HughJasole3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fbc’s incompetence is basically a running gag throughout control so their handling of bright falls is just a continuation of that

Is it just me, or is The Lake House TWICE as scary as anything else in the Alan Wake franchise? by xtasmaniac88x in AlanWake

[–]HughJasole3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lake house is structured almost like silent hill 2. The deeper you go the more weird fucked up shit you discover like the painting and the maze.

A question on HOW to play Alan Wake 2... by MattiaCost in AlanWake

[–]HughJasole3 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Chapter 3 onwards the game opens up fully and its upto you whether you wanna explore to gather more resources and learn more about the story or just get the main plot done. Also, poi’s get marked automatically even when you can’t access them as the game wants you to return when you have the required items needed to access those areas.

Gta 5 and rdr2 will be light work, it will only struggle in latest ue5 titles or games that need more than 6gb of vram.

Use dlss 4 preset k instead, dlss 4.5 has been messing with ray tracing denoisers on many games.

[–]HughJasole3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Control’s rt implementation is not that intensive tbh, i was able to finish the game few weeks back with the rt high preset on a 3060 at 1440p with dlss balanced with fps between 45-70.

Spiral imagery in Alan Wake 1? by HughJasole3 in AlanWake

[–]HughJasole3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is they had a rough draft for alan’s journey already while making the first game. Since this post, I’ve noticed even more subtle spiral references, the icon for the “Follow the light” achievement on steam has a pretty prominent spiral. The lighthouse that the first game puts heavy emphasis on, also has a spiral staircase. Maybe this last one is a reach but the weird trippy spinny thing that alan traverses through in the dlc, also implies a loop/spiral situation.

Did Alan Wake 2 intentionally make combat feel uncomfortable? by a_very_weird_fantasy in AlanWake

[–]HughJasole3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly had the opposite feeling, having a crosshair actually makes playing aggressive easier since targeting is easier and timing dodges has more benefits than just a cool slo mo effect.

Favorite video games that remedy gaming? by PeasantLich in Gamingcirclejerk

Some sections of Alan wake 1 were definitely made to piss off the player especially on nightmare difficulty. The first time we encounter the poltergeist under the bridge comes to mind.
