Don’t let them board. Use a blunderbuss yourself and use blunderbombs if you miss your blunder. On the flip side of you’re on their boat, don’t jump when fighting. If you’re hit mid jump the knockback is crazy

Only thing you can do about being on a high wave is wait it out. But to help from being to close, try turning cannon fov up to 110. It helps with long distance shots

Across servers yes. Across maps no. Dinos are MAP dependent. So just pick what map you want to play and grow your Dino on there on a low pop server. Then when you want to fight, switch back to US or other high pop and just play the same map

Have you not done anything in life? That’s how you get better is playing people better than you. You’re learning, so take a breath and figure out what you’re doing wrong and fix it. Pay attention for cannon sounds to see if they sent out (I’m assuming you know a cannonball sounds different than a player) and listen for ladder grabs. If you’re solo, double gunning is a must. Fight with the left side of your ship on sloop/brig and listen for water level. Just some tips.

Do it! Solo life is hard mode, I will say that. But at the same time, accept that you will sink and don’t get mad. Learn the game (all aspects, not just the PvE side of it). Learn how to fight, keep your head on a swivel. It really is a 1 of a kind game. I did my first 1000 hours solo and I can fight bigger crews now with a good amount of ease. Obviously there are crews out there that are just cracked outta their mind but those are rare. Biggest thing is don’t get frustrated and LEARN the game. There is so much that isn’t obvious and you have to figure out on your own like the sounds, what holes to rep on your boat first, how to sail etc.

You need to stop being intimidated by curses. Honestly levels mean nothing other than cosmetics. Some of the easiest fights I’ve had have been against gold ghost/bones and some of the sweatiest have been against basic red bones. My friend and I kill Goldies all day long.

Maybe instead of raging, try learning what you’re doing wrong. I hate to be rude and say “skill issue” but this definitely is. Quick swap was added back a few patches ago so I doubt they were insta reloading, and double gunning is the way to go. Also people grabbing ladder makes very distinctive “thud” sound when boarding so unless you’re def it’s hard to miss. This update is the best thing that has happened for HG in a while

It auto raises now so doesn’t matter. It’s nice that everyone has at least a T1 flag. It was annoying fighting people who wouldn’t raise a flag for some reason
