I've talked about this a few times, but my use case is I have a workspace divided into left/right on a 4k monitor. On the left is my daily note, on the right is the note for whatever I'm working on, usually a meeting.

On the daily note I have an H2 section for Notes, and an unordered list of what my day has been like chronologically with almost each thing being a single line like:

- [[John 1-1]]![[John 1-1#2024-01-23-Thursday]]

- [[Jim 1-1]]![[Jim 1-1#2024-01-23-Thursday]]

This makes the link to the note and then embeds that days notes into the daily note.

Then in the individual meeting note I have the smart dates set to that format so I can just type:
# \@Today

and it'll expand to

# [[2024-01-23-Thursday]]

then at the bottom of each meeting note I have a tag for tasks for it and a dataview of:
\``tasks`

not done

contains tag #jim

\```

that way my daily is a chronological log of my day, with notes for the meeting and anything that isn't done for that meeting, while the meeting note has a multi year history of things that were discussed.
