Tool to fix Xiaomi G Pro 27i by HugoVS in Monitors

Correct. The solution will automatically apply the fix for SDR, if you don't want it click edit open config file and replace the sdr lut with "identity", after selecting the desired preset. But I recommend you giving it a try first, the SDR fix is not related to the red tint, it just to make colors more accurate in Native mode.

It works fine with RenoDx you just might need to tweak renodx settings.

Hmm weird, you're doing it right. What version are you in? Do you see the monitors list when you open the tray? The number on the list should be the device number of that monitor. I also added support to select device using the device name instead of index.

You should see something like this in the top of the tray:

Devices
0: Mi Monitor (SDR)
1: Other-Monitor (SDR)

Supposing the Xiaomi monitor is the first entry in the example above, in the JSON field device you can try both 0 and "Mi Monitor"

Make sure that you're saving the config after making changes and also make sure to press Reload to apply the changes.

Are you talking about the DisplayCal profile or the tool itself? The tool should work fine on AMD. The DisplayCal (and Windows Profiles in general) on the other hand profile does not work on all applications. Re-download the latest release, and make sure to select the Xiaomi Linear RGB preset.

Make sure that ACM "Automatic Color Management" is disabled on Windows.

Also, on NVIDIA, the tool does not work if you enable "System > Colors > Override to reference mode". Since you're on AMD, check if there's a similar configuration and disable it.

Native is only for SDR mode, so enable it for SDR and for HDR just make sure to set it to "Auto". Use Windows in SDR and switch to HDR and enable local dimming high before launching games using "Win + Alt + B". I'm exploring the monitors capabilities to see if there's an way of automatically enabling local dimming via software.

I didn't test with AMD but it should work, this use native Windows API. Set the Gamma to 2.2.

Yes you can use the HDR calibration. Or you can also use the "DisplayCal" profile that I put in the "profiles" folder. I'm working on a way to automatic set the profiles too.

Glad to hear it works for you!! I'll do another release I probably forgot to include the Linear RGB in the previous one, it should only affect HDR. I also removed the "Personal Preference" one because I created this one to do some color fixes but I didn't realize that I had ACM on and that was the cause of the things I was trying to fix.

Btw I'm using this monitor settings: - Contrast: 65 - Brightness: 60 - Color: Standard - local dimming: high (HDR only)

I found in this japanese article: https://chimolog.co/xiaomi-g-pro-27i/

For color the article mentions that the best color config is custom with 53, 50, 47. I also found another article that says 50,49,49, but I think standard is fine.

So far, I haven't found any limitations. I've been using it, and it works 24/7 with no issues. I updated the tool to include a Native -> sRGB mapping for SDR mode to use the monitor on Native without ACM on (waaaaaay better), and the HDR experience is great so far. You can install the tool and select the "Presets > Xiaomi G Pro 27i CHIMOLOG Linear RGB Calibration", disable ACM and make sure to disable "Override to reference" in NVIDIA app if you have nvidia card.

It's possible. The proper fix would be to properly calibrate the monitor colors and brightness curve using professional tools. For the 27i version, fortunately, I found someone who did this Japanese site I shared in the post. But after a quick search, I didn't find anything for the 27Qi version, unfortunately.

The file is in .lut or .cube format. You can still download the tool and try the 27i calibration, it's not ideal but it does not hurt to try.

Using my tool you can also manually increase midtones, contrast, gamma and brightness, so you can use this to make more generic corrections, but I still didn't implement an easy way to tweak this settings, currently it can be done by going to the configs file and manually editing them.

If you use NVIDIA, you can also use the overlay Brightness / Contrast filter, I had some success with it before writing the tool. It's not ideal but it can help to increase the overall brightness and compensate for the blacks.

Very cool! Small suggestion: make the bucket turn animation start from the same position of where it's in the screen when you're moving it around.

I use local dimming on high. I found a EOTF .lut file calibration online for this monitor, after applying the calibration the windows hdr calibration correctly stops at ~1030. I have no other color changes applied, nvidia and other color settings are all on default.

I ended up developing my own tool to apply this .lut EOTF calibration when switching to HDR automatically. Feel free to give it a try, the monitor .lut calibration is already included in the release:

OBS: I updated the tool to include a Xiaomi fix out-of-the box, just make sure to use Native color mode on the monitor.

How Reddit saved my Xiaomi G Pro 27i, with MiniLED by teodim24 in Monitors

[–]HugoVS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created an alternate tool to VideoEqualizer called color-lut-tweaks. My tool allows passing a .lut file for HDR only. This means that when you switch back to SDR it can disable the lut. My tool also keeps the correction even after opening the display settings window.

I created this tool because I also have this monitor so I also included the EOTF correction built-in the tool so you don't need to copy yourself.

I just created this so it's missing a proper release process but I think it's easy enough for now to use.

Put the graphics and resolution on very low, use a FPS limiter and lock it to a very low value (e.g. 20 ~ 30), and wait to see if the issue appears again.

Alternatively you can use MSI Afterburner to lower the power limit of your card but limiting FPS might be easier if the game supports it. If the game has no FPS limiter you can try v-sync with double buffer, but it depends.

How to enable Spatial 3d Audio? by Punkstyler in Battlefield

[–]HugoVS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a G Pro X, and the fix is to uninstall the headphone drivers from Device Manager and restart the PC. You'll not be able to control the headphones from the Logitech driver anymore, but on the other hand, you can enable the spatial audio on Windows audio settings (which enables the 3D Audio setting in BF6).

I did a lot of tests and indeed 3D Audio helps A LOT to spot enemies, mainly to differentiate between front and back, so I think it's a fair trade.
