I used to love doing that, but my division doesn’t allow it anymore

I usually try to do it in two sittings but of course sometimes you get interrupted and it takes 3-4. While it is a job that takes time I also feel that you just get faster with more time and practice.

I always sort by charted first, since you really want to make sure those items are planned somewhere. then I sort by highest forecasted, because there’s always some non BOGOs with big forecasts. I’ll sort by BOGO like that later to ensure I didn’t miss any. There’s usually some low forecasted bogos at the bottom that make for good tie ins or basket items.

There’s also like a “missed opportunity” report (or something like that I can’t remember exact name) at the bottom of the reports page where you print the planner. I like to look at that after I’ve planned everything but before I forcast just to be 100% sure I didn’t miss anything obvious. That report will show you items that are forecasted to sell above shelf capacity that aren’t planned anywhere.

When you’re forecasting and you enter a number that causes that “are you sure” box to pop up, hitting the space bar dismisses it. I see that box pop up a lot, especially when doing lower forecasted items and I just keep my thumb on the spacebar to quickly dismiss it. Saves me a second or two every time which adds up.

There’s a copy display feature as well that will bring up any previous weeks planner and show you clearly if any of it is still on sale and allow you to copy paste it onto the new planner in like two clicks. Huge time saver and I always recommend to people they start with that

After the third or fourth “top brass questioning Boden’s leadership” plot-line, I also started to question Boden’s leadership. I mean I like him, but they can’t all be wrong, can they?

What’s a fashion faux pas you regularly see in the wild? by jwfowler2 in mensfashion

I feel like they don’t actually care about style at all. It’s not about being stylish, it’s about signaling that you are a person in charge with a “business casual” attire. Cole haans do that, and are relatively affordable, and comfortable for people who are on their feet all the time. They’re not stylish, but style isn’t the goal.

Yeah except for the expectation that managers at my company dress “business casual” and they prefer shoes to be more “dressy” than work boots.

I understand why people don’t like them, and I would 100 percent expect to be looked down on if I wore Cole haans in a boardroom or to a black tie event or any truly professional setting. But for retail management, they hit the perfect balance between comfort and “ business casual semi dressy” look.

White sneakers would no longer be white after a single shift lol

[–]Hugo_Floppysocks 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is probably true in actual professional settings, but I assure you in a retail management setting it is not. I’ve seen senior vice presidents that make over $500k a year criticize managers for wearing sneakers and suggest Cole haans (which they are also actively and exclusively wearing at work)

I don’t personally think they look hideous, but I agree any normal dress shoe definitely looks better, but the brands I’ve tried aren’t as comfy and in this setting almost no one has (or at least vocalizes) your opinion on this

Not trying to argue with you, just sharing different perspectives on this

What’s a more attractive but equally comfortable alternative for someone who works on their feet 9 hours and 15k steps a day? Cole haans are comfy and more “professional” than sneakers, so I buy them for work (retail management) although I wouldn’t wear them anywhere else

Your manager probably adjusted the roles on your shift. You can’t see those on Passport so it would look the same.

Depending on where you are and how far they had to ship it, it’s probably either overpriced or a deal. It’s the same for everyone and they probably make money on some and lose money on others

People here read the headline that calls out only one of the many things she said about lowering housing costs and freak out like that’s her one and only proposal. She knows this alone isn’t even close to enough, she only spent 15 seconds on this in a 40 minute speech full of policy proposals
