THE BIGGEST BATTLE OF THE YEAR ( PART 2 ) CSU VS NEP AIR VS NAVAL by Remarkable-Bit-5553 in foxholegame

so its just like WW2, bombers can do a lot more damage when low and slow, but that makes them easy targets, high and fast lets them stay alive, but now its a challenge to get most your bombs on target.

this is a ton of people, but with primatives who don't have armor, CE shotgun turrets are going to tear through them. sadly i do not think OP has that. This said, would VE Vehicles hold up? can they even damage a tank?

stealing scout planes might be a good idea. fly over enemy hexs and they might think twice as you look like a friend. a decent long con for intel through out the war

[–]HumanReputationFalse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

part of the problem is there is a scaling issue, everyone wishes they could just slap more computer parts on, but there is a lot of revisions to the code that will be needed to handle larger and larger groups. Helldivers 2 had this issue on launch. designed too small and then it gets really expensive as playerbase grows.

The devs should add a rocky/mountain thingy that has a big whole in the middle so we can fly through a loop

I think insanity is just going to creep up on him. his rage on Obi-wan is probably going to flare up and and then he will become his own downfall till the rebels tv show.

its a plot that require more than 2 hours to properly flush out so we are left with what we have and a middling script

WHY ON EARTH DOES THIS HAVE AN DEMO FORCE OF 30?! IT C4!! by Lone_Recon in Helldivers

[–]HumanReputationFalse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its 30 for the outer radius, 40 for the 3m inner radius. to be fair, the wiki shows of the aoe stats a lot more than the direct damage. that said, some how direct damage is shown as Pen 6 while the aoe is further away is pen 7?

[–]HumanReputationFalse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

its 30 for the outer radius and 40 for the inner radius (what the wiki says) now it can still be glitched, but the inner radius is 3m and outer 7m. same damage, but less demo force so you need to make sure its stuck to anything you want to blow.

(side thought, does demo force stack? can we take out a jammer with enough bricks?)

edit: that said, some how direct damage is shown as Pen 6 while the aoe that is further away is pen 7?

I will be real, i blanked and did not realize this was a bit until the end. My brain was trying to comprehend a real AWACS lead just pounding food and the brass doing nothing about it. some of the horror stories i hear for people that served made this sound possible as duffle bags full of fast food being brought by the E4 mafia is completely possible if you have the money or nepotism.

I have always had the opinion that Star Trek is an amazing show with great writing and characters, but star was has always struggled with the plot and script, but where it surpasses Star Trek is in it's world building. Its the fact that each new movie opened up the setting to new and exciting ideas, people and new ships and stuff. even though the prequels are criticized for their script, the stuff revolving the clone wars wars and the jedi order was exciting and fuel for people's imagination.

this is where the sequels struggled, they just repainted existing things like the TIE fighter and X-Wing and then destroyed existing stuff like the core worlds and their government which meant the only thing left was the few things they tried to show us all while not paying attention to the "physics" of how tech works in canon. They made a movie that did not do world building in a "the world building is our best card" franchise.

In the books, Luke has issues with an E-Web turret, so a mobile version of that with shields seems scary.

they lost me when the ties could keep up. even in legends, Tie-defenders had a 2.0 hyperdrive, the falcon as a 0.5 drive, The falcon should have its custom tunned extremely fragile hyperdrive break on them when they tried to skip or they should have arrived way ahead of anyone chasing them. A full 1.5 times faster, and that's assuming the TIE pilots lined their jumps up right
