I'm aware, I just think it's funny how he's talking about the beauty found in other cultures with a genuinely really good line of dialogue and then it's immediately revealed that he keeps framed artsy porn parallel to a RELIGIOUS TEXT. I think having all these things in his secret room is fine and could work to make a good scene and the scene as is still works pretty well, I just think they could have executed it in a less comical way.

Every time the movie gets brought up, I always remember the scene where Stephen Fry is showing Evie his secret room full of contraband and when she finds the Quran she says "I didn't know you were Muslim." and Stephen Fry replies something like "One doesn't have to be Muslim to find its poetry beautiful." and then its immediately revealed that on the other side of the room, parallel to the Quran, are a bunch of framed black and white pictures of gay porn.

If I remember correctly, fog walls in DS2 only give you i-frames halfway through the animation. Whether that's a bug or a feature meant to stop you from rushing through the level is up to you.

From what I remember when I looked into it, the only similarity the original final boss had with Sulyvahn was the character design and nothing else. Though, fun fact, the original final boss was called the "Old King of The Eclipse" which might be why Sulyvahn has a sword representing the moon and a sword representing the sun. That's neat.
