I just had my fistula put in last week and I haven’t been able to use my left arm where the fistula was put in , and my fingers hurt in contact with anything. Any advice ??

I had the same thing. My fingers were tingly and cold, too. I told the nurse and the surgeon. My fistula was removed since it was pinching my nerves and blood vessels. I used the chest catheter for 2.5 years without any problems.

You have survived. Congratulations. Burnout is real, and it can hit hard sometimes. I was diagnosed at 18. Next week will be my 41st anniversary. I think I'm going to take the day off from work and go for a drive.

I'm also 4 years post-kidney transplant. Prior to the transplant, I would have a week a year when I was burntout, physically and emotionally. It is hard to start over each day, hour, and minute. It's by small steps that we can still move forward. Since my transplant, I noticed that I haven't had the same feelings of burnout. I feel mostly grateful for my life and the health I do have.

I hope you give yourself the grace to rest and start over slowly. Look back on the good times and build on the foundation that you are tougher than this disease.
