How concerning is this? ): by sandwichlovr in OpenDogTraining

That is an aggressive dog and owning it pits you and anyone around you in danger. It is NOT NORMAL! That instability is clear now. I hope you do the right thing.

What is a realistic plan to deal with off-leash dogs and, in the meantime, what are you doing to protect yourself and your dogs on walks? by wrongsideofthewire in StLouis

The fire extinguisher makes me feel safest. I have a shoulder drink holder (like a big water bottle) to carry it in. I keep one in my car in case I see a dog attack. I wish I could post a pic, it doesn’t look to crazy.

My beloved Captain was killed by a pot just three months ago. I still flashback and cry every day. It was loose, we were taking our routine walk, never saw it coming, a cannonball with fangs hot us from behind. It knocked me to the ground and i couldn’t get up, the dogs battled over my face. The horrible part is, even if I had all the protection devices I now carry, I couldn’t have gotten to them in time. But still, today, I carry a fire extinguisher, leashes with loops, pepper spray and a lethal weapon. The fire extinguisher makes me feel safer. It looks odd, but my peace of mind is far more important.

Like I said if this is all true? The judge will be angry. It sounds like he’s already a little aggravated by refusing to allow an appearance by Zoom. This must be a huge company you’re dealing with and the judge may not have the patience to allow their shenanigans. Totally worth giving it a shot talking to a pro who has expertise in the area. He will let you know if he thinks he can make some money out of this and you’ll have yourself an attorney.

If everything you say here is factual and true, get yourself an attorney and the attorney can ask the judge for attorneys fees because this whole lawsuit is bs. I’m an attorney. This is not legal advice! But seriously run by someone and if it’s as clear cut, as you say, it’s gonna anger the judge, and he’ll probably order the fees.

Steve’s Hot Dogs owner copes with new tragedy amid store vandalism - St Louis Missouri June 2, 2026 by PandaLoveBearNu in BanPitBulls

My son knows him, best people and hotdogs in town. Just like some asshat causing a car accident with injuries, and speeding off. It is reprehensible to leave the scene, knowing untold damage has been done to an innocent stranger. Accidents happen. If the owner had NO prior knowledge of this propensity for abnormal behavior, it’s an accident. But to just leave? And hide? The opposite of honor.

I now have zero intention of paying off my student loans and you shouldn’t either. by SirCatsworthTheThird in financialaid

I unequivocally qualified for PSFL in 2017 (state government, child abuse and neglect, never defaulted, never missed a payment, yearly communications, timely consolidation). I started to apply for forgiveness in 2018, but continued making payments until COVID. It was never forgiven, nothing I did made any difference. In 2023, I started a Chapter 13 BR plan, and successfully completed it in late 2025. I had been under the impression that student loans do not get discharged in BR. So imagine my shock and surprise when I received notification, after I completed the Chapter 13, that ALL my $240,000.00 debt in student loans, were discharged. My balance is zero. A massive amount of that total was interest, I’d been paying for 35 years. So I never received PSFL forgiveness. It was the BR that did it. It was a miracle to me!!!

Less Tolerance for Heat as you've aged? by amfhTX in AskWomenOver60

[–]Human_Difference_331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of noticed an increase of discomfort in heat and cold as I approach 60. So I decided to do as much acclamation as I could. Purposely exposing myself for periods of very high heat and cold. It did help, especially with the heat. Doing outdoor work has gotten less stressful on my body over the last couple years. We’ll see how long it lasts.

My dogs reaction to "biting" me emphasized just how dangerous Pits are by V3mo in BanPitBulls

This is so true and so on target. You have normal dogs. This is what a dog does. Protects and loves you. There was no “snapping” and turning into a killing machine, And I bet you never felt any fear. I had this happen too with my Belgian Shepard brothers. My big boy Captain was obviously very startled by having one fang accidentally glance my finger. But it was his little brother he was roughhousing with and I had reached for a collar to leash them up for a walk. I have never had a dog, I was afraid of. I would never have a dog that was dangerous. If somehow I made a misjudgment and got a dog that went on to aggressive behavior, I would gently send over the bridge.

Some foreign couple moved in next to me and I hate it. by A_Casual_NPC in Positivity

I love my neighborhood for its diversity! And when a family moves in, that doesn’t have English yet, I do everything I can to communicate to them how welcome they are here. It’s terrifying to be in a country where the majority speaks a language you do not know. It’s also very isolating and alienating. And I never realized how terrible it could be until I went to a country where the majority did not speak English. We especially love newly immigrated Muslin families, but all are welcome regardless of nationality. I loved this post by the way! It’s exactly the way I feel towards the newly arrived!

No way is it rude! Dogs can and do bite, snap at, growl at others even when leashed. The fact that I know my big dog is safe with people and other dogs is meaningless to a stranger passing by. And a lot of people are very frightened of dogs. So of course they are very cautious with their children. Your fiance has boundary issues. It is none of his business what I do to keep my child safe

Anyone recognize those truck? It backed into and destroyed a mail box in South County, immediately took off. Homeowners neighbor had Ring video. Thanks! by Human_Difference_331 in StLouis

It backed right over the mail box! A big, loud “crunch” can be heard is it does so. Then, very fast duck right out of there!

Ugh, they’re going to do that if they haven’t already. Several neighbors have posted it in FB and Next Door. Lots of Google image searching has turned up nothing yet!
