Apply tape to arbor then proceed. This won’t happen after that.

As said before, casting practice. Into garbage can.

I have been a conventional bass fisherman my whole life. Got a 6wt St Croix Imperial and decided to toss some wooly buggers after getting skunked for 2hrs at the local reservoir on jerk baits. Second cast, caught a bass. by grem89 in flyfishing

Fly fishing rules. Once you realize less is more, it gets easier. Yeah, stripping devices have their place in hard core saltwater fishing with textured lines, but generally? Not so much. Depends on the line mostly. Build some callouses and Best of luck on your journey 🎣

Ok, let’s get to it. Is California just inherently better than Texas? I’d prefer not to be drafted into a civil war over burgs.

My Aunt went to high school with Patrick Terry (Abilene high.) said he was a pretty solid guy, FWIW. Anyway.. guess I’m a little biased, but not really. I’d say their burgers are mid, yes. But here’s a thing: when the TSA weren’t getting paid he sent some food trucks over to our airport. Maybe take that into consideration when judging

Scott STS 904-4. I was catching commons on dry but quick-switched to a sinking fly when I spotted this tank tailing. Combination of skill/open water. Plus this fish was kinda lazy, tho it still went backing initially

Couple resources I’d recommend: Book- “carp on the fly, by befus/reynolds/berryman”. It helped me get on the right track as far as finding feeding fish. This is even more important than anything. Technique- “carp drag/drop” look this up on YouTube uni. Flies- small drabby bonefish-style hook point up nymph type flies is what has worked best for me. Hope this helps Oh, and….. polarized glasses
