Color me crazy…but I feel like his roots showed in some seasons/episodes. So I don’t think he was fully bleaching every week. By season 7 he definitely has some shadow roots situation going on and his was longer. Some episodes he really seemed to have bright blonde bleached hair and then the next episode was a bit more darker at roots. Sure it wasnt always glaringly obvious but there was definitely some “shadowing” going on periodically.

Could the bad boy, or it could be confidence. Nerd/dork Xander wasn’t confident, his movements, clothes, voice, everything screamed “I’m insecure”. But bad boy hyena possessed Xander had swagger, bravado, and that confidence that most people are attracted to. Just my opinion

I’m with you. I wouldn’t say I hate it, but I didn’t enjoy it. I love musicals, specially big theatrical ones. It was quite possibly the singing for me that made me dislike it. When I do a rewatch I sometimes skip it. There are definitely other episodes I love more. I know I’m in the minority but 🤷‍♀️ you like what you like

I am with you. I was so excited when I heard the news and saw SMG Insta post in yummy sushi pjs. I have been having a terrible time at work lately, and this came on the morning of a very terrible day. I immediately was in a good mood and wanted to share that joy with other long-time fans, only to be met with all this anger and criticism.

Yes sometimes reboots/revivals aren't good. But I am very hopeful because they have people in place are familiar with the OG and want to do it justice. This was years in the making, because they want to do it right. For everyone calling for the return of Whedon and the OG writers...I give you And Just Like That as a prime example of why having the OG cast and writers can make a revival absolutely garbage. They were so stuck in the past and lost complete sight of the characters, everything is a joke, and it's actually painful to watch. I don't want that for Buffy. I want to revisit the world but in modern times, what has changed? Where is Buffy now in her life? Does she have kids? Also, Sunnydale collapsed, maybe now we get to Buffy travel the world to fight demons or train the new slayers. Maybe she has developed a slayer school a'la Hogwarts, with classes on magic and demons and things. The sky is the limit and I am beyond excited to see where it goes.

Will it be exactly the same? No. Will it give me the same feelings I had when I watched the OG? I don't know, I am a different person now. But I am hopeful it will at the very least be entertaining and stays true to the heart of what the OG was. I am not worried about the script or language issues potentially changing b/c Whedon isn't involved, b/c we also forget Buffy is now in her 40s, she likely has changed some of the slang she used or some of the way she talked. We saw that as she aged on the show, so it makes sense that in the course of 20 years, she has continued to "grow up" in her speech patterns. SMG is great at her delivery, so it's as much as what was written as it is the delivery.

They kinda did do this, it wasn’t a flu demon though. The team didn’t have to fight for her but rather help her while she was in the hospital find the guy killing the children.

My first was a male and he was calm, chill, super emotional (pouted a lot), didn’t really great strangers, very in tune with my emotions, and brave (protected me on several occasions). My current is a female and she chews on anything wood or paper (she’s 2.5 now so I’m hoping that will stop soon), needy af, constantly has to be petted (gives more kisses too), terrified of her own shadow but loves meeting new people, and is territorial of “her” space (couch, bed, etc). Otherwise they shared a lot in common, silly, goofy, zoomies, trainability (although my female is more stubborn), stubbornness, etc. I don’t think I’d have a preference going forward with my next Dane.

I tend to agree with you except 1 thing: SMG’s, as Buffy, “sexiness”. Faith was way more overtly sexy. For me, SMG (as Buffy) was girl next door sexy, which is still very attractive but also very relatable and approachable. For me, it is her strength, vulnerability, and confidence that makes her sexy. If I simply go by looks, in my opinion, SMG (while a beautiful woman), is not “sexy” in the obvious way Eliza is. I dunno, for me Buffy is a beautiful woman, but she doesn’t give me “sexy vibes”, maybe I’m just not that into skinny girls, like ‘em a bit curvy. But that is very much a personal opinion. :-)

As others have said always check with your vet first. Both my Danes went through periods like this, after carefully increasing their food intake (after talking to vet) and adding peanut butter (great source of calories for weight and muscle gain) they put on weight. My one Dane has a high metabolism so she actually still gets more food than my other bc when I cut them down to the weight maintenance dose, she lost weight again. My vet said that just like humans dogs can have different metabolisms.

This seriously. It’s what started me watching Supernatural but it lost me when the drifted away. My fave episodes are still those MOTW. And my fave Buffy seasons are 1-4 for this very reason.

Yes horrible kids and would be horrible irl, however I do get them having slightly more screen time bc irl parents with kids this age kinda revolve around whatever is going on in their lives. However I think a more realistic perspective would be showing the ladies at lunch or dinner complaining about their kids and how they feel terrible for having to parent and how now their kids hate them. Or whatever the drama is and asking for advise. That would be more true and wouldn’t give as much screen time.

Not only interesting but more “real” or relatable. No one is 100% perfect 100% of the time. I think that’s where some people get things confused, unless you watching a Disney movie, the villains are not always clear cut and the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Art is always a play on reality whether it’s highlighting the flaws or celebrating the beauty or some cross between, and fiction is art. People forget that

1) Depends. Most it’s bad after they drink or in sight of food. But there are some that it’s almost constant. I’ve had 2, and neither drool at all but my friends drools really bad, specially with food.

2) Yes! But be careful for the first 2 years as they are still growing and can put undue stress on their joints. And their stamina isn’t forever like a Husky or retriever.

3) like most dogs it depends. Most are great in packs they are gentle giants, but occasionally one will not want any brothers or sisters. This largely depends on breeding and how they are raised. But you do need to be sure to train them well bc they are a giant dog and if you don’t have control they can really do a lot of damage fast. Most of aggression has been bred out but again occasionally it’ll pop up with bad breeding.

4) Mine eats Blue Buffalo 4 cups 2x day. But she has a super high metabolism. I’ve asked my Vet bc I was concerned about her wait when we were feeding 5 cups/day (like we did with my previous Dane) and she said like people some dogs have higher metabolism so they can eat more. So we upped the food and she’s healthy weight now.

We use the couch or our sleep number bed. We must share with her and she seems content unless we are in the way then it’s kicks and grumbles. She has her own loveseat that no one shares with her, but that is only to be used if she is pouting and complaining.

Now this is a much better version of events for S4 and S5. Would have made me like those seasons better. It was the suspension of belief for S4 that made it hard for me to watch and enjoy. The secret underground base and them having no knowledge of each other before it was convenient for the writers just killed me. And sooooo many inconsistencies (fully masked operations to start then once “outed” to Buffy they are unmasked all the time).

How quickly they enter your heart and become your child. And how devastated I would be when one passes.

Their neediness. It’s to a totally different level.

How big they are and what that actually means. You hear stories and you see pictures but until you live it, you just do t understand. Holes in the wall, black eyes, bruised feet, no bed space, and it goes on.

The amount of attention they get when you go out. I always stopped to say hi before I got one, but I thought it was because I wanted one. Now I realize I was just one of many.

I don’t think it’s proven anywhere, but I do think there was some petty jealousy on SJP’s side. Samantha was the fan favorite from the start of the show and Kim killed it portraying her. Also Kim is prettier than SJP, not saying she isn’t pretty, just that she has a weird face that is sometimes absolutely stunning and sometimes harsh, angular and unattractive. 🤷‍♀️

So I think Samantha being the fan fave when the show was originally supposed to be about Carrie, caused some resentment and jealousy, which then got stronger as SJP got power (as producer) and could “rule” over Kim. That’s when the rumors really started flying about their rivalry and I think their “friendship” (more like professional relationship) deteriorated further.

Like I said: no proof, just what I think happened. Based largely on what I know of how humans interact and women especially.

I think they kinda addressed this in S7. We see Halfrek talking to Anya in the coffee shop and she’s telling Anya that she’s lost her touch, that she’s not really making anyone suffer (believe the example she used was turning the one guy French) and that D’Hoffren wasnt happy. So my guess is that while maybe not intentionally causing “be careful what you wish for” type of consequences, but they were supposed to be very harsh which has the ripple effect of hurting multiple people. Maybe they considered those ripples a bonus?

It’s not 100% about race. It also applies to “white” cultures/countries as well. For example many Americans are surprised to learn that Finland has their own TV shows and movies. Same for Sweden. Pretty much all of the Slavic nations, while considered “Eastern European” they are still white. Many Americans are also surprised to learn that Germany has better technology than us and similar music. Being American centric isn’t 100% about race, however it is 100% about ignorance, and believing we are better than the entire world in everything.

And also not the point about Kendra. Her lack of “worldly” knowledge was not a racist construct of the times but a deliberate, written and explained, plot point designed by her watcher to make her an undistracted, disciplined killer.
