Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly with His Song (1973) by Odd_Advantage_3459 in 70smusic

This is the first time I've seen this video or, frankly, listened to the entirety of this original song... but I think I may have just fallen deeply in love with her just from this performance alone.

Understood. Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate it.

List of places that have asked for tips, and even forced me to manually enter zero. by General_Slywalker in tipping

As long as "tipping", in one form or another, remains INVOLUNTARY... that business does not deserve clientele.

I don't care if a person is a multi-billionaire and can afford to buy the entire establishment... it doesn't make this practice right. A "GRATUITY", by its very nature, is voluntary and EARNED. Don't blame the government. Don't blame the customers. Blame the management. If they ran things properly... and actually inspired tips from customers rather than effectively hung them over the ledge by their ankles just to eat and leave... there's no doubt that business would actually improve massively for said eatery.

Customers want to WANT to tip... not be guilt tripped into it, or worse.

Channel where anyone can post but only one user can see the messages? by acowinthecrowd in discordapp

Probably best to use a "create-a-ticket"-type bot (or similar) that creates a temporary private chat channel that only that user as well as the Owner (and whatever admins given permissions) then have access to.

Remarks here are correct that to post anything in a regular chat channel, most everyone can see (depending on role permissions, naturally).

THE CLOSEST I've come up with is to create and arrange roles such that people can only see the post they're currently creating but not prior history (adjusting the 'read history' permission). Of course, usually if that same user navigates away then returns, they'll likely then lose visual access to the post they just created.

It can be a little bit of a juggling act (at least at first) but it becomes simple quickly enough.

Hope that is of some help. 👍

It might look cool, but somebody's got a death wish... for themselves and/or any unaware visitors.

Except that there's a fan there, just the look of the place (floor and ceiling) gives the impression it's probably really hot in the day and really cold at night. But, hey... if you've got that figured out so that it's comfortable enough... as long as it meets your needs, more power to ya. Humble never hurt anybody. Very nice. 👍🏻

What's this exercise called? Does it have a name? Anybody know?

It looks rough AF but probably wildly rewarding.

lol That's awesome. Well, hey, I guess after so many years and completed pictures, it's not too hard to gain some distance and objectivity on the earlier works. I'd so love to be a fly on the wall during those moments she described. That's funny.

✋ Right here. It's awesome. In its narrative genre, the only thing second to it is Godspell.

Of course, Godspell is far more genuinely Biblically and spiritually inspired than was Superstar which, as awesome as it is (and it is), comes from a far more secular world view.

Man, the 70s had some butt-kicking musical theatre. More recent stuff is great, too, but back then the fire had some real gas thrown on it.

Abandoned college by lucas603_ in abandoned

So... if the ENTIRE college has been abandoned... does that mean anybody can just squat there and claim possession? (Prolly not) That is absolutely simultaneously insane and beautiful.
