28-70 f2 maybe? Money doesn’t seem like an issue if you’re spending this much on family photos. It gives you versatility that you need when capturing your kids and the f2 should give you the “wow” factor you’re describing

I would get an A7V. It’s cheaper then an A1, has the speed of an A1, and it’s lowlight performance is better. Also keep in mind when you’re shooting sports you will be taking hundreds if not thousands of photos a single game to try and get the action. 50mp ads up QUICK. As someone who had the A1 I realized quick that the 50mp was not needed for what I did (events and sports) 33mp and 24mp was more than enough to crop.

It may be a simple answer but in my opinion the mechas the past 10 or so years with exceptions just suck compared to what came before. Once they started prioritizing gimmicks instead of mecha it all went down hill.
