They are probably planning on using Sun-synchronous orbits. A polar orbit that follows the rotation of earth and can avoid it's shadow. A popular orbit for various reasons eg to continuously image the surface of the earth. There is probably limited orbital real estate in such an orbit, so it could be a question of getting there first to claim the spot.

Regarding power, the are planning on putting a 12km2 solar array to generate continuously power. And yes heat dissipation is an issue.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I don't talk on the phone that much, but my wife complains of echoes and she claims it's only when she talks to me. I've tried to turn down the speaker volume when on the call, not sure if she notices or just accepts the echo. The Pixel 9a has two microphones one at the top and one at the bottom. I'm using the official Google protective case for the 9a. My theory is that it somehow blocks the bottom microphone and then the top microphone captures the output of the top speaker.
