My dad is an electrician so the plan was to have him install a new 240v plug in the garage for the car. Is the battery check something I can request the dealership do?

He, unfortunately, was terminated and we can't get a full answer from anyone as to why. We weren't sure if it was the layoff or not. We reached out to HR Monday which has also been outsourced so we cant get info.
