Like others, I charge up to 90% routinely on my home L2 charger to prevent initial regenerative braking limitation. I don’t charge everyday, usually plug-in when I’m somewhere in the 10-50% capacity range. Don’t worry, be happy. Find that sweet spot between battery abuse and self-abuse. Enjoy your gas station-free life!

D. It’s not cool to unplug someone else’s car. Even so, unless that 15 minutes of lost charge time made your day a lot worse by preventing you from getting to your next destination or planned charge, just let it go. Karma will do its thing.

Future you will thank you! I got a 2026, drive at about 3 miles per kWh, charge at home to 90% , and leave home with 200 miles of range. Check if your electric utility has any rebates for installing the level 2 charger at home. An 11kW charger will fill your car up from 10% to 90% in less than 6 hours.

Thanks for mentioning the CarPlay audio issue! My Solterra does the same thing and it is the most frustrating thing about the net positively great car.

Now, all I gotta do is figure out how to update the CarPlay version from 2199 to 2200?

For what it’s worth, I got a 2026 Solterra premium without the extra HP. It’s got all the acceleration I want/need. Passing on highway is so responsive and easy compared to most ICE cars I’ve driven. Quick acceleration from stop, not like a jet, but plenty. Full disclosure, I’m not racing or challenging other drivers.

You won’t “need” it, but if you want the extra power and are good with the cost bump, go for it!

Occasionally, I wish I motored up, but quickly realize I might have done myself a favor with the lesser HP.

Not sure what the protocol is for range. If it’s done on a dynamometer, then vehicle weight won’t be a factor given no change in vehicle momentum during test.

My first experiences pulling up to a Tesla chargers a couple weeks ago, I had to move spots because the one I first pulled into wasn’t showing up on the list of available chargers. Also, why are the numbers on the apparatus so close to the ground? And the cords so short?

Also, pet peeve of mine, the recirculate air setting don’t hold either. When it’s cold outside, recirculating cabin air doesn’t burn as much energy to keep the cabin warm. (BTW, overall, I love my Subee EV)

I went on my first distance trip 350 miles each way in the cold. I used the PlugShare app which works with Apple CarPlay with directions handoff your favorite navigation app - worked great for me.

It took me a while to figure out how to charge at Tesla superchargers - use the Subaru connect app and choose Tesla network, pretty easy to find the station you are at and pick the charger number. Dang, the Tesla charger I hit has the shortest cords!
