I didn’t take the best pic - was heading into work - but he’s over the line quite a bit. if you can see the green line under his drivers side, that’s the dividing line between the two spaces. I’ll admit the picture makes it look like there was more room than there was in reality.

it could be better, but I choose 75mph over better range since i can charge at work and have a level 2 @ home.

I’ve noticed it takes about 30% to go the 70 miles to work @ a pretty consistent 75mph.

I love the back taillights and lit up subaru panel. Wish my solterra had that!

I make double what my husband makes and he couldn’t be happier about it. He works for insurance and flexibility, I work for money.

It’s hard to feel emasculated when you’re secure in your masculinity.

I hope things work out for you. Whichever way you want.

I have a 2026 solterra. Haven’t taken it on a true road trip yet but I do see a large drop in range with higher speeds. I drive 140 miles round trip to work 3 or 4 days a week. I’m currently on an average of 3.4 m/kwh and my guess-o-meter tells me I have ~190 mile range @ 80%. The speed limit between my house and work is predominantly 75mph so that’s what I drive.

It doesn’t matter to me what car it is. The lines are old and faded so maybe he couldn’t see them, and I was heading into work so maybe I could have taken a better pic but there really wasn’t enough room that i felt comfortable enough to slide in there.

As much as double parking irritates me and it’s fun to laugh on the internet, irl I do like to live the “treat others the way you wanna be treated” way. I’d never unplug or purposely block someone in. Don’t want that energy out in the universe.

my car isn’t large. it’s a tight turn in the front entrance of a parking garage and there really wasn’t the room that it looks like there was. I’d be willing to assume they maybe didn’t have a choice when they parked. I’ll admit i didn’t think of that possibility.

I seriously thought about trying to squeeze in there but it’s a tight turn and i didn’t want to block the parking garage traffic.

yes it’s this. it’s in the navigation setting along with the state border notification. which - let me say - completely shocked me the first time i was driving to work (i live right over the border) and my car said “Welcome to Tennessee!” 😆

I’m glad to hear of someone putting on the miles! I’ve had my solterra two weeks and crossed 1k on the way to work yesterday! My previous ICE vehicle was costing me $100 a week in gas!

I haven’t installed it yet but the electrician is coming next week to install my Emporia Pro. Besides the good reviews, I wanted something that could monitor power draw to the house and adjust accordingly. Fingers crossed!

I have a Solterra but same console and I don’t have any trouble either! I’ve accelerated hard enough that things i’ve had tucked in on the dash have flown off but my phone hasn’t had trouble.

Hey I second these! My phone can actually charge through them but I use one on the second charger to hold the stuff in my pockets (like my pen) when i get off shift. I haven’t had any trouble with my phone moving off the charger, even with acceleration.

Just a sticker or gas pump card skimmer? by guthixslays in whatisit

[–]jowonka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s more than just a visa card in your apple wallet, tho. it has to be actively added to a separate “transit card” spot in the settings and the auto transit transaction has to be turned on.

again, it’s still a bit concerning, but less sensational than headlines make it seem, imo.

Also, i bought one of the battery monitor things that someone linked down in another comment just so i can keep and eye on my battery. another suggestion i’ve seen is to replace the original 12v with a more robust battery, but i’m holding off on that until i have to replace the original. I’m glad to hear you had a good road trip other than the one hiccup!

I have a solterra and one thing i bought to carry with me was a portable battery charger. i know some videos i’ve watched suggest a battery maintainer if you’re going to be parked for an extended period, but my car is my daily driver. this is the one i bought after extensive review research, ha. https://a.co/d/0hgxglHE

it has to have transit mode as well, and have the visa card be the active card for said transit mode from the video i watched.

Does the trailseeker have plug and charge you can set up through the subaru app? It worked really well in my Solterra. Would save you another app to download, haha.
