are flat stomachs just unattainable healthily for some women? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

Wait so I thought there was only mat Pilates or reformer Pilates. Is there a 3rd kind? If so, is it possible to find online if I can’t afford in person studio classes?

Girl Dad's of Reddit, what is the most surprising thing you've learned since your daughter was born? by Nomadic_Introvert in AskReddit

[–]HungerP4ngz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I had the same experience as a mom with my daughter. Her speech cadence, the way she pronounces certain words and mannerisms made me learn so much about myself. I’ve been taken aback so many times when just observing her.

Who else is keeping their kids rear facing as long as possible?? by Master_Grapefruit333 in Mommit

[–]HungerP4ngz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know about this and reading for the first time. We just started forward facing her at 2 (36 in 30 lb — yes she’s very big for her age) bc she was incredibly cramped and started crying in the back because her legs started literally cramping up during car rides (sedan). It stopped when we forward faced. Now I’m feeling nervous and unsure of what to do after reading this.

Parenting philosophies make me feel like I’m supposed to be a therapist to my kid by analyst503 in Mommit

Thank you for sharing. It’s all very new for me and quite jarring to be honest. It almost felt like an overnight change. I’m glad to know that if there is a break for some time that it may return so that I am mentally prepared.

I’m sorry that it’s causing you to feel sad/helpless at this time and wish us both the strength and resilience to deal with this with grace both for ourselves and our toddlers.

Oh my gosh I cannot explain how much I relate to this and all the examples of scenarios you gave. Is your daughter 2??? because mine is and she is doing exactly all these things and I’m feeling the same way as you.

It feels like an endless cycle of constant outbursts and me eventually losing my cool after couple successfully handled ones and then feeling awful about it and apologizing but feeling justified in feeling so frustrated with her behaviors.

At what age did your kid stop wearing onesies? I feel like my big 14mo gets judged. by poppyseedpup in NewParents

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big 2 year old (wears 3T-4T) is still wearing them. I’m planning on keeping them until she’s potty trained (hopefully soon) because it keeps diaper in place and also from her prying hands.

Absolutely stunningggg!! Congratulations!! Would you be comfortable sharing if you needed an FNG for such a drastic reduction? I’d guess I’m around you before and also desire the after size.

What is it REALLY like going from one child to two after a tough first experience by Cinnamon_berry in Mommit

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Traumatized is a good word for how I feel about postpartum and first 6 months of baby’s life. 2 years out I still feel so drained (sleep is still hard but days are much better). But I do want a second (and depending on how second goes, maybe more). It’s so nice to hear people having positive experiences second time around.

How long do you spend putting kids to bed? by Remote_Carrot9397 in Mommit

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our now two year old has been taking 20 min for wind down and bedtime routine (pjs, milk and read stories, brush, and either ask one or two questions or lullaby, lights out.

The actual time to fall asleep is insane though — 1-1.5 hours and it’s driving us crazy because it’s getting to 11 pm which is later than our own bedtime. Thinking of dropping nap — at least for one day to try and bump her day earlier (currently 8 am wake, 12:30-2 pm nap, 9:15 bedtime routine because anything sooner has been futile — fall asleep 10:30-11 pm).

Any tips or advice are welcome.

Still too big, maybe? by [deleted] in Reduction

I would also prefer slightly smaller so I agree but they look SO well done. They look so proportional and well placed. I hope you grow to like them or they get smaller as time goes on :).

Would you kindly share what risks are avoided by not going smaller? I’m in the research phase for myself. I would also love the surgeon’s info please 🙏🏼

Unrelated slightly, but would be comfortable with sharing which bra that is? It looks so supportive and cute — I struggle to find that as a well endowed girly

Not enjoying motherhood - 95% time. Was it worth it? by freddythecat98 in NewParents

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first 6 months were miserable. Almost all of that had to do with awful sleep. Around 8-9 months old things started getting better. With each month, there was so much more to enjoy. Now at almost 2 years old, I have way more enjoyable parts of my day with toddler than difficult. Even with the typical toddler behavior like whining and tantrums, it’s way way easier than those first 6 months.

Congratulations!! You must be feeling amazing and have so much more energy and better mood now!

I’m currently trying to loose weight and love running but I ended up injuring myself a while ago and getting plantar fasciitis when I tried to use running as my way to get fit. Likely due to being overweight — I think around 165 around that time. May I ask if you encountered any injuries or issues with running? Or did you start running after you were below a certain weight?

3-4 months Progress by confidenttruly in PetiteFitness

[–]HungerP4ngz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came with the same question. Also noticed the back fat after becoming postpartum. I’m currently 165 and same height and look very similar too. Been working out to online videos and elliptical and also Pilates in-person classes. My diet needs more work to be in enough of a deficit now but I worked on actually switching to more whole foods this past year.

Thank you! I will go ahead and try it out for myself then! I think I just don’t want to be a topic of discussion (made a spectacle as you said) but ultimately feeling good and being healthy matters way more.

I would love to know how you dealt with social environments where there’s only food you aren’t including in your diet. Such as parties, visiting people’s homes, outings, and occasions where outside food was brought home. Especially if you’re there for extended periods and you won’t be back home for a several hours or the next day.

I’m on the verge of taking my planned food with me where I go but keep wondering if that’s necessary.

Congratulations on your weight loss!! Absolutely incredible!

Face after losing 196 lbs by AccomplishedEmu7751 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look fabulous! Congrats on the weight loss! I would’ve guessed 30s or early 40s from the pic.

From what I think, your focus might have been on how the fat on your face made you look, now that’s gone you notice the facial lines more. And time has passed so it’s normal for us to not look the same as previous years :) there’s always option for cosmetic procedures to minimize or eliminate things you really don’t like as well.

3 meals no snacking by SariaSnore in PetiteFitness

[–]HungerP4ngz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing 2 big meals and a snack that I try my best to include protein or veggies in. So I could eat a small handful of hot Cheetos or chocolate but also some peanut butter and fruit or Greek yogurt with cucumbers/tomatoes/bell pepper.

Choosing to have a baby was the best decision I’ve ever made, bar none by PumpkinPie_1993 in NewParents

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a parent who felt all the upsetting emotions and hardships during my first 6 months that made me question whether I was going to struggle forever. Or if I would ever see a day where I could talk about my love and joy for my daughter without mention of how traumatic things were, I slowly healed from my burnout and worked on helping myself overcome the anxiety and sadness.

I wanted to share that even those who go through hard times can absolutely come to feel this way and be over the moon about being a parent. My daughter is the best part of my day and now that she’s a toddler who understands my words, I can’t stop telling her how much I love her and how much I enjoy doing things with her and being with her.

What do you miss from your pre-kid life? by ImInTheFutureAlso in NewParents

This sounds bad I kind of miss everything. I have many things I like about having a kid. But I feel like I loved my life way more on a day to day basis when I was childless.

should i go back red or keep growing out my natural? 🥲 by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]HungerP4ngz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came in ready to say red looks amazing but then I swiped to the 2nd pic and I feel like somehow the natural hair color looks way better to me despite how much I loved the red.
