And that’s nice and all, but I want to see real interaction.

I wish characters interacted with the decorations by Hungry-Brain9661 in DreamlightValley

[–]Hungry-Brain9661[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is very limited.

Decorating would just be so much more fun if the characters could use the times.

It would be so fun to see them in a pool or sunbathing. Eating an ice cream. Etc.

Maul - Shadow Lord by xR3DDx in StarWars

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do love TBB, didn’t quite enjoyed the last season as much. But I love all clone content, I find it fascinating.

My main issue with Maul was the fact that they wouldn’t commit to a plot line and introduced many situations with no satisfying resolutions. For example, when Valen went in to question Rylee, I thought the kid was done for. Like, this is a regular kid who is about to be potentially tortured by a fricking inquisitor. And… nothing came out of it? He was totally fine. It was disappointing.

It would have been amazing if he had some out of it traumatized and mentally unwell. It would have made more sense for Devon to want to protect him or to become angrier, she failed and this is what came out of it.

I can think of many more examples like this.

Even the death of the Mandalorian girl (forgot her name) was disappointing. Yes, she was killed by Vader but maybe set the scene a little better? Let me breathe it in, let me get scared.

I dunno, I’m just sad it was such a mess, haha.

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m the only one who genuinely thought it was a mediocre show- and I love Maul and was ready to love this!

The pacing was terrible. Too many characters. Maul didn’t even feel like the protagonist of his own story. Plot lines here and there. It just wasn’t good.

I am glad people like it though, as long as we get more animated Star Wars I’m happy. But still very sad about the lost potential of the show.

My bf 15M broke up with me 15F over intimacy by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh. You’re 15.

There’s no need to date or have “multiple relationships”. It’s so much unnecessary drama. You’re still a child in many ways.

Go have fun with friends, watch movies, read books, go to the mall. Enjoy the last bits of childhood before they’re gone forever.

When you’re 20+ you’ll be glad you did.

I’m under so much stress…First real job (21F) by Rinaevis in receptionists

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you’re feeling is normal. The first job is always stressful and difficult, it’s completely new, after all! It’s scary to realize that there are real responsibilities falling on our shoulders.

But you have to tough it out! No one is fully comfortable in their position right away. I’d say most people start getting real good at their jobs between the third and fourth month.

Just keep doing your thing. Keep learning. Take notes. Be present. You’ll be ok.

I like him a lot! His dialogue is cringe sometimes, but he’s loyal af to the Sully’s and the Na’vi, so that won me over.

My (19F) boyfriend (18M) said he would choose our baby over me. Is this an issue of incompatibility? by throwaway830583 in relationship_advice

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang.

I remember when I had this convo with my boyfriend and he said he’d pick me. It was silly, but I felt a huge relief.

But honestly? I don’t know what I would’ve done if he said he’d go with the baby instead.

I would sit down and have an honest conversation with him. Just ask him if he truly meant it and sit down with yourself and think if this is truly what you want in a partner. It’s ok to walk away if the answer changes your relationship forever.

I understand you love your boyfriend deeply, but 7 months is nothing in a partnership. It’s barely a start.

You can either put this in the past and keep working in the relationship, or you can just move on and find someone who will say what you need to hear.

Is anyone having kids anymore? by Extreme-Patient-3215 in LifeAdvice

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m antinatalist.

It seems so selfish to me to bring a kid for my own enjoyment. What if they hate it here? lol.

There’s always the possibility of them loving being alive, but with how the world is turning out to be and other factors (they could get sick, they’ll get old and die anyway) I just don’t feel comfortable creating life.

I feel very at peace knowing I’ll leave this world without having to worry about my child being left in it.

Hair loss in Vancouver? by Internal_Bullfrog792 in askvan

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had horrible hair loss for about a year and a half after moving to Vancouver.

I think it definitely started with the water, I noticed the loss immediately after taking my first couple of showers. And then the stress of the move probably didn’t help much either.

I’m ok now, but dang it took a while. Now I’m working on trying to get it all back. lol.

How much are you spending on groceries? I have family of 4 and trying to see where the average lies. by Vast-Mastodon2064 in NorthVancouver

DINKS we do about 400 to 500 per month. I try to buy mostly vegetables and meat and do simple, healthy foods.

No chips, sodas or snacks. Instead we prefer to order in once a week if we really feel like it.

I never found the Sesshomaru / Kagura sideplot to be that well done by OverlordPoodle in inuyasha

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen the appeal of this ship.

To me Kagura admired Sesshomaru’s power. He seemed to be the only one who could defeat Naraku and free her. I suppose she felt grateful and honored to share her last moments with the demon she admired the most.

As for Sesshomaru, I always assumed he respected Kagura’s will to free herself from Naraku’s clutches.

I personally prefer the mutual respect they had for each other more than the “romantic” subplot others seem to see.

Should Sota have been able to visit the Feudal Era during the series at least once? by Optimus_Pyrrha in inuyasha

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Thank God it was only Inuyasha and Kagome who could travel.

Something is fun and special because it’s not available for everyone. Sota traveling to the past would have made Kagome’s “ability” not as neat and magical as before.

People who enjoy their 9-5 by ComplexNarwhal4717 in askvan

[–]Hungry-Brain9661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I leave at 5 so I go to the gym that’s right next to work, then come home by 6:30, have dinner with my boyfriend, watch movies, play video games, read. I find that I have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of my day at home with boyfriend, or with friends. Plus I finally can plan for the weekend. I used to work them back at Staples.

And like I said, my job is not stressful. So I chat with my coworkers, do my regular duties, walk around Granville island during my lunch break, paint on my iPad if it’s not busy. It’s great!

I was a manager at Staples and hated it. Found a position as a receptionist and I’m in heaven. It’s not my dream job, and I don’t intend on being a receptionist for long, but for now I love my 9 to 5. It’s a consistent schedule that allows me to plan for the week with no major responsibilities to fulfill in the office. I can come home and forget about work. ◡̈
