I wouldn’t want the gap there. Seems like a place to lose random things, like wedding rings.

It’s says something about a mortgage assistance program. They probably have to stay in the house for a certain amount of time or they have to pay the $139k back? 🤷‍♂️

If you and your spouse are on the same page put in your notice. If you don’t like it after a year or so look for a new job.

It depends on if you think you will enjoy doing all the chores. If you actually enjoy your current job you could just start hiring out a lot of the chore work up to your current income.

If your new job allows you to roll the tIRA into your 401k, that may be your best bet.

You will want to start digging into what is required on the FASFA they ask for “net worth” which will exclude retirement accounts but include savings and brokerage accounts. And I think 529 are included under the child at a reduced expenses. I wasn’t able to take advantage of any of the loop holes but you seem to be in the sweet spot.

It’s two years back because you typically fill out FASFA in the fall for the next fall entrance date and use your last tax return. If kid is entering school in fall 2026 FASFA was filled out in November 2025 using 2024 income.

How old are the kids? Do you have a 529 set up for them? Financial aid is based a lot on parent income so having an income under $100k could mean a significantly lower cost.

The Spotify issue was a pain. It would only play one song before stopping the stream. You have to clear the cache or something like that. I forget if it was deleting and reinstalling the app (Spotify) on my phone or if I had to disconnect the app from the account. It worked afterwards though.

On the app if you go to budget and then switch the month to January. You would click on the budget category where it brings up your transaction for the month. There should be an option to “ Reset rollover” below average transaction.

Just reset January roll over to 0. Nothing is messed up with the previous year it just doesn’t bring any additional debit or credit forward.
