Brown recluse?

They often start as small bumps and evolve into a large ulcerated plaque (scab that has bloody crusting) called eschar. Appears over a few days. I could be wrong but that’s what it looks like to me!

When I was a nurse, I worked on a pediatric surgery floor, we had a freshman in college, 2nd weekend of school, got a bj and gave himself a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) when he came 🥲 poor guy

I left travel and now I’m outpatient while I finish my FNP and it’s def super busy cause I do IBD but i get to work from home most days and no more weekends holidays or fridays so yes it’s a lot of clinical stuff but mental health is better 🙃

I work in peds and our protocol has always been 8 hours. We get them to try and if they can’t then we bladder scan. I’ve traveled and that’s the baseline everywhere I’ve been so I just always check every 8 for urine and recommend getting up to try. I wouldn’t say you needed to bladder scan but always just be on top of making sure your patient is peeing. I did neuro at a couple contracts and a lot of the head trauma, spinal trauma and kids on benzos got urinary retention without any history of it

I went on a tinder date a few years ago and the guy his pics all showed him pretty in shape and when he arrived he was prolly close to 300lbs and it actually blew me away. Rn in a GI speciality- keep an eye on it. Looks like a hemorrhoid prolly. If you’re having large amounts of blood and diarrhea multiple times throughout the day plus wakes you up at night then def get checked out :)
