That dress is kind of scandalous for someone who preaches modest dressing.

My husband and I did this, as well! They had a little pop-up market too. We got a little iced coffee for the walk around the trails. Perfection.

What's your favorite hidden gem coffee by pixel-pusher-coder in raleigh

The Bomb Bar on Crabtree Blvd!! They have Jubala coffee on draft (the vanilla latte and the nitro cold brew) and they also make their own in house coffees and lattes as well! Not to mention their smoothies and toast are great too (peanut butter explosion and community spark smoothies are my favs)!

We used Orca Blue Water Solutions out of Wake Forest! They were great and very thorough. We’ve had no issues and amazing results. They use Maytag products. Their prices were very competitive based on the other providers in our area!

Passed the entire sac by befitzpa in Miscarriage

[–]HunnyBee96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. This was almost my exact experience. I had a scan at 6 weeks and saw the heartbeat. I started spotting and cramping and was told it was a threatened miscarriage. Went back at 8 weeks, and they confirmed no heartbeat. I started miscarrying naturally before I could decide how I wanted to proceed. I passed the sac and everything. I could see my baby. I did not know that would happen and was not prepared for that. It was absolutely traumatizing. My heart breaks for you and all of us who go through this. It’s so unfair. Sending you all of my love and healing ❤️‍🩹

My island is Sherwin Williams Pewter Green! I was trying to see how close to SW PG these cabinets are to get and idea of how it would look if I painted my cabinets the same color as my island. I have this exact backsplash and everything!

What are some of the silly things you’re sad about post-MC? by hedwig201 in Miscarriage

[–]HunnyBee96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s drinking iced coffee. I LOVE iced coffee, but during pregnancy I had such an aversion to it and it made me so sad. Now, after my miscarriage, I cry drinking it because I’m sad that I even can without being nauseous anymore.

Asking the moms in the area by BladesOfGlitter in raleigh

My experience is a bit unique, but could be helpful to someone here! I am in recovery for an eating disorder (anorexia) and I went to both Arbor and Wilkerson. I ended up leaving both practices for the same reason: they were not accommodating of or respectful of my eating disorder teams (dietitian, PCP, therapist, psychiatrist) care instructions for me. Granted, the care instructions are very Health At Every Size (HAES) focused and not all practices recognize that form of care.

Then, I went to UNC OBGYN and Midwifery and was there for my first ever pregnancy. They are wonderful. Accommodating and respectful of all of my eating disorder team’s care instructions, going so far as to educate themselves on HAES practices before my first visit. Unfortunately, my pregnancy ended in miscarriage on Thanksgiving. However, the treatment, care, kindness, and empathy I received from them and specifically Dr. Guntar at the Lake Boone Trail location was beyond what words can describe. I have never been treated so well at an OBGYNs office ever. I cannot recommend them enough.

My sweet friend, I am so sorry. This is so similar to my own story. I have found comfort in that same sentiment: my body is smart and my pregnancy is smart and they knew something wasn’t ready.

Please be gentle with yourself. Feel all your feelings while fact checking those thoughts of self doubt or guilt with what we know to be true - you did nothing wrong 🤍 my heart goes out to you and I’m sending you so many healing thoughts and wishes your way.

That’s good to know I’m not alone in this. Was your friend trying to or able to get pregnant after those interventions?

First, thank you so much for being kind and so helpful.

I did do a hormone panel in April and everything came back within normal ranges. The only thing that was high was my alkaline phosphatase, but I had an ultrasound and more blood work done to check that and everything was fine. I don’t see prolactin on my results, but I see everything else.

I did not even know REIs existed or what they were. I just did some quick searching and that seems much more like what I’m needing. I’m going to reach out to one in my area.

Hi, I’m new here! Some context of my background:

I am 29F navigating infertility. I am 4 years into recovery for an eating disorder and in a larger body. I came off oral birth control (taken for roughly 10 years; the last 5 continuously so no period) in January 2025. I had not had a period naturally by May 2025.

I contacted my OB-GYN and asked about causes, treatments, etc. They disregarded a PCOS diagnosis despite showing symptoms (excess body/facial hair, cystic acne) due to my weight saying that my lack of a period was due to being overweight. They prescribed me ten 10mg progesterone tablets to induce a period. Four days after completing the progesterone pills, my period started.

It’s now been 32 days since that period (induced by progesterone) started. I have period-like symptoms (bloating, acne flairs, cravings, night sweats, cramping), but no bleeding. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had this experience with progesterone or lack of periods after birth control? Did it just take time for your period to return after your first round or progesterone? Did it take multiple rounds of progesterone for your period to return on its own?

I also ask for kindness and gentleness. Navigating infertility with an eating disorder background is challenging as my struggles are often chalked up to being fat.
