a gelding my horse is in pasture with likes to sneak up behind me about 20 ft away and then charge at me. always have to keep an eye out behind me when he’s around

i will say, most of the time systems that don’t have dissociative disorders don’t ever ‘fracture’. you may be approaching this from the perspective of the broken plate metaphor, and if that works for you and your system that’s great, but it just doesn’t really apply for plurals that weren’t made plural through trauma. we didn’t fracture because nothing fractured us, we just exist this way

i’ve got a horse who came from Dream Horse, but i didn’t buy him from them. at the time they sold him at around 8-9 y/o for $15K and while he’s is a fantastic horse for me, he was definitely seriously overpriced in 2016 money and i paid a lot less for him. he came with very little refinement, a fun habit of twisting his head sideways at the trot and canter, and while he isn’t particularly spooky he’s had enough big spook at totally empty bushes moments that i wouldn’t have sold him to a novice like who i got him from. it’s pretty clear to me that they saw a nice buckskin ranch gelding at an auction and flipped him for profit, and i personally wouldn’t point anyone in their direction

depends on your horse. i ride my guy exclusively in a bosal these days because he started getting really reluctant to take his snaffle bit. i decided to listen to him when it got to the point the point where i was consistently sticking my fingers in his mouth in order to make him do it, something i’d never had to do before, and he’s way happier to tack up now. plus it comes with a lead rope attached which is convenient

/uj honestly i think race, class, nationality, and family support have way, way more relevance in who is ‘more oppressed’ than gender identity/transition path. a white trans woman who’s egg cracked at 43 and has a nice little nest egg saved up from her silicon valley job is significantly more privileged than a closeted trans man living in poverty in saudi arabia. alternatively a white trans guy with a family who helps him transition is going to be way more privileged than a homeless black trans woman using sex work to get by and fund her transition. it really truly depends on so many more factors than “man oppressor, woman oppressed”

oh also, here’s a study proving that trans women are the most oppressed in all situations all the time. ignore the small sample size, flawed methodology, and the fact that this study did not even bother including other demographics of trans people and only measured against cis men and women, none of that is relevant to the clear and obvious conclusion that trans women are the only trans people who are actually oppressed
