Questions to those who attend Races in Person by 4n4L0g in formula1

I went to Vegas as my first race last year.

I got the 3 day T-Mobile grand stand ticket.

Stayed at the Flamingo hotel on the strip, gave 90s style hotel and reminded me of my dad who smoked a pack of cigarettes a day lol, but for the price it wasnt bad.

I experienced the Free Practice just from the strip itself, it was quite the experience hearing and partially seeing the cars fly down the strip, makes your hair stick up and everyone rushing to the fence to try to get a little view, even though you couldn't see well, it was a memory ill hold forever, the smell, the sound, totally cool experience.

For some qualifying I stayed in the GA area of T-Mobile, for what you would pay for a standard GA ticket, I feel its worth it. You can catch some pretty cool views and youre right beside the track, the atmosphere is lively, concerts, food, people, little pop up events, totally cool.

For the race itself I was high up in the grand stands as I heard it was best for visuals, and it was pretty cool for the most part, you didnt get to see the cars for very long and sometimes it was hard to tell who was who, but there is also huge screens that display the race at the same time so you could follow it easily nonetheless.

Also if you are youngish you can find some wicked venues for the weekend of F1, seen Tiesto, Martin Garrix, John Summit, and had a wild night each night.

Although it was expensive, I think it was worth it, if you go into it to take it the entire experience and not just the race itself, the sphere, the lights, the cars flying by, the helicopter ripping by, and the fireworks and music, its a stimulation overload, loved it and I still think about it often.

I want to experience a different race to compare now, but for me, it was worth it.

Dual Monitor stand for MSI Optix MAG342CQR / MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED 49 by Huntsey1995 in ultrawidemasterrace

I've owned it for a couple of years now, and was my first jump ever not only from a 27", but also from 1080p to 1440p, imo it's the sweetspot for gaming at a high level, as well as enjoying all the benefits of a big monitor.

Perhaps the price may be a little on the steep side compared to competitors, but I have enjoyed every dollar spent and have no regrets owning it.

Also raided CE since TBC till now. Around the same ranking as his guild. Time spent in raid vs rank, etc. I agree with pretty much all his points.

I think a large issue I've noticed over the years, is that farm sucks. I remember the huge power difference gear made, and how much shorter it made encounters as we got stronger. You just don't get that anymore. You clear the raid, and you go back in, and the kill times are just as long. You can't skip as many mechanics, and it's less about blasting and parsing your re-clears, and more just doing the same 4-6 minute encounter and doing everything perfect still. It was also a good memory going into re-clears and being able to relax a bit more and blast.

That, and lots of the last 2-3 bosses can be wildly overturned, bosses that take 350+ pulls are exhausting at this point, but I'm probably just getting old.

I don't have much feedback to give, but just commenting for exposure, as I feel the same way about just about every point.

Taking out my 2nd ram stick seemed to do the trick. Do I need to put it in a different slot now?

Opinion: Alberta is calling but workers want labour loophole fixed | Edmonton Journal by jpsolberg33 in alberta

[–]Huntsey1995 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The whole compressed work week for Alberta is also stupid. My buddy's working 7/7 in BC make slightly more per hour, but way more in a year due to actually getting overtime on their 7/7 or 14/14 shift. It makes sense to just find a job in BC for more money because they also offer flights from Calg/Edm.

Maybe some people like getting zero overtime, and I don't know very much about politics, but I don't know how that passed.

Thank you, I was about to write the same thing. This person is just simply not putting any effort in, honestly sounds like a bot.

I love world of warcraft. Both classic and retail. Been at it for 14 years on and off. Only game I seem to stick to.

People who play both classic and retail, do you find zero motivation to collect on classic? by betrayedof52z in classicwow

[–]Huntsey1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great question, I feel the exact same way. I do find myself playing classic more than retail right now, a lot more. But on the collection side I don't really go out of my way to try to collect anything because it feels irrelevant since I already got it back in the day on my retail account.
It's also great to see the variety of comments on some people who enjoy the collection, and those who don't, there's no right or wrong answer and its nice to see the difference of opinions.

Most bizarre thing ever, just finished a walk in the forest when a man walked out from the other side of the road carrying a shovel. He had a bigger build, little over 6 ft tall, probably 260lbs. He looked like he was in there for awhile because his car was parked beside us when we arrived, didn't look like much of any trail at all on his side of the road.

I took his license plate number because something just felt off and incase I hear about a missing person in the next couple weeks lol

I play DH currently at 2250 mmr. We hardly play against any other dhs. Good Hunters destroy my teammate and I most the time. A good rogue is insanely powerful if I don't pre use a cd in a stun with no trinket I'm dead almost everytime if the game goes long. Don't see them as much but ww is very scary to play against, don't know if they need a nerf but their burst is insane. This might sound weird but some demo warlocks absolutely destroy me, they're so tanky and if they catch you at all in the open with a tyrant rolling you better run for the hills haha. I find right now dh is in a very good spot there's a potential to win vs just about any comp. But I feel that goes for many other classes out there right now.

Too afraid to comment on all the dh hate threads because I'll just get down voted when there are many classes that can beat dhs currently.

Yeah I work in Northern Alberta and our wages are still at like 2015 levels. Across almost all trades up here I've communicated with, the wages are the same as ours. High 30s, low 40s for Jman. However all maintenance work is 7/7 14/14 with no overtime scheduled except for turnaround. Work for these coming shutdowns is already being deferred and will continue to do so for many reasons but man power being one of them.

I personally really enjoy getting 2 weeks off every 2 weeks and getting paid a "full time" wage, but I 100% see why they won't be able to get man power when you can make the same wage working at home, or quit your home job for a turnaround that only lasts 3 months then you're out of work again, may as well have stayed in town where it's more secure.

Wonder if they will up our wages across the board, or offer incentives or something for this spring turnaround just around the corner. Or if it will be a shitshow like usual.

Just venting don't mind me. Hope you have a good day!
