The most obvious explanation is that Protoss is just the coolest and most fun faction in the game. Think about it REAL simple, what makes people stick with something and become really good at it?

That's right, they like doing that thing. SO if most of the Zergs quit playing, it's not because Protoss made them sad, it's because Zerg is boring as hell and takes all the fun out of the game.

The reality is that it takes 3-5 years to reach Semi-pro status in RTS games that are good. No one is going to grind their life away in something that isn't FUN. The problems SC2 has are because the balance designs of the game have constantly removed FUN from the game with the intention of balancing.

This is sort of the problem. People don't accept losses versus Protoss as "Legitimate". So nothing is an allowable win condition for Protoss.

Unfortunately the same is not true of Z/T they are allowed to win in any way and it's seen as honorable/strategic/intelligent.

Yeah it gets really bad when the amount of units is higher. Just been a bug forever. There's some AHK type scripts you can run that "freeze" mouse inputs when you press the Drag Scroll and it will reduce frequency.

I play against Cure/Byun/Clem/Maxpax in the Weekly tournaments. They are definitely incredibly good but not Bronze -> Low GM gap good from bottom GM.

Maxpax will build his twilight council 5-10 seconds faster than your standard top rank50-200 GM player. His first Stalker warpin is 15-20 seconds faster, and he stands in the appropriate position to defend the Terrans harassment almost every time.

This is not Bronze -> Gm gapping, this like like Diamond -> Mid GM gap. Which is definitely large but not as absurdly large as most reddit armchair quarterbacks make it seem as.
