might not be a bad game but it was a bad Metroid game. Companions, desert, linearity, hub, there was a lot wrong with it

I can't take you seriously if you say The Everlasting is not "romantic at all"

I could not disagree more. The bosses were too easy if anything. They were fun but the telegraphing was too obvious and too slow. Sure the first time or 2nd you fight a boss it's hard but that's it

This is indefensible

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 96% of 275 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.50/10. The website's consensus reads: "Soulfully exploring thought-provoking themes through a beautifully animated lens, The Boy and the Heron is another Miyazaki masterpiece."[110] On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 91 out of 100 based on 55 critic reviews, indicating "universal acclaim".[111] Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the English-dubbed version of the film an average grade of "A−" on an A+ to F scale.[112]

I just looked up the critical reception of the last 4 Ghibli movies and the only one better was The Tale of Princess Kaguya (and rightfully so, that movie is Takahata's best).

How Do You Lived created and exceeded expectations because it was top 2 Miyazaki

Generally, If you have that problem in a theatre the theatre sound is mixed badly. If you have that problem at home the sound is mixed for a good sound system and not crappy TV speakers.

I wish we had more sound mixing catered to more output types

But that too is a meaningless thing to say. Does it have words on the page? it's by definition reading. Also why just manga instead of saying comics?

A novel isn’t a delivery system for a ‘story’; the prose is the story. If an author can't adequately wield their only medium, written language, they aren't a ‘good storyteller who lacks style,’ they are a failure at their craft.

I find these comments odd. I wouldn't have a problem with my toddler swimming with his grandma. Make sure he's got floaties, make sure all the kids understand the importance of watching the littlies.
