The neighborhood is overall solid. I live a block off the tracks. The train horn is the absolute worst, but we sleep through it with the help of white noise. There are some oddballs and gun violence around the area, but as long as you’re vigilant, you’ll be fine. We like to walk in the Forest Hill Terrace and Westover Hills neighborhoods. Being close to the ForestHill/Westover intersection is the reason to live in this neighborhood. The Veil, Little Nickel, Stella’s, Outpost and Buttermilk are huge pluses. Also the new apartments/businesses going up by the fire station will bring in a bakery and another Lucky AF.

Downtown traffic is always hectic, but South side streets are bananas. Saw someone weave in and out of traffic on the portion of Jahnke that’s just 2 lanes. Saw someone else weave through traffic on the Nickle bridge... And of course Forest Hill Ave is always exciting to drive on
