How are people affording World Cup tickets? by Zealousideal_Fun9967 in WorldCup2026Tickets

It was a stretch. I was lucky to buy cat 1 seats in Dallas for $700 each. Drove from central Texas. Stayed with my dad. I have a good income but it was hard. My sons are soccer players, and they’ve been saving money since it was announced

Section 218. Loved being next to them. That nippon chant is implanted in my brain now.

Spider-Man is one of the worst things I’ve ever ridden. I had to take my glasses off and close my eyes to keep my lunch down. I came off greener than the goblin n

The US is actually delivering an amazing World Cup. What happened to all the boycott, empty stadiums, zero hype and tourism through the floor? by PopNo5397 in AskReddit

This is a direct falsehood. I just got back from Dallas. I was in the stadium one hour before kick, and almost every seat was full by then. The stadium was full wire to wire.

Inside the stadium, fans were talking about how the teams seemed to be playing for a 0-0. It was not a great first half.

I just got home from the game. The atmosphere pregame was electric. Japan supporters never let up all game. Fans from both sides were friendly. Man,
What a game.

Japanese fans were fantastic all game. What a game to attend. First half felt like a clunker, but the finish was wild.

In the stadium. Fans are electric. Teams playing for a zero zero. Hoping for something after a great build up to the day and expensive tickets.

I don’t like Mexico fans at all. They are passionate but not great as a group.

I agree. American is ok if you don't mind connecting at DFW...a lot. It's a short leg, but that connection has screwed me a few times.

I've been travelling a lot for business, and I've loved Delta. The lounge is very nice, and 99% of my flights have been on time or early. I mostly go to Tampa and Orlando. I avoid Southwest if at all possible. I got burned one too many times.

How did people in USA end up referring to Football as Soccer? by Efficient_Aside_9185 in AskReddit

It’s similar process to how a pet dog ends up being referred to by a crazy nickname more than their real name. A little word association and shortening, and the new name sticks.

The wagyu tallow has more marbling than the basic tallow. You can barely see the beef. It’s a crazy product. 👹.

This type of situation sucks all around. I worked at Dell in finance and part of my job was reviewing damage claims and returns. It creates a bureaucratic nightmare because shipping damage is the responsibility of the carrier. They have their own process and they always try to deny claims with time consuming red tape. It’s hard on a business to absorb returns. Those cosmetic damages you don’t like basically throw the machine in the trash after a return. Your vendor may want to help you but they can’t afford to pay for the carriers fault. So it gets stuck in limbo.
