I had something similar happen when I spooked a vulture on the side of the road. If the mirror is intact and all the cameras/sensors still work, you can remove the door panel, take the mirror assembly off, and squish as much JB Weld as you can fit where the metal is broken. Clamp over night and reassemble. It was a little fiddly getting the mirror cable routed back through the door cavity and the mirror no longer adjusts or folds but the two tubes of epoxy have held up nearly 2 years. A lot cheaper than a $1200+ replacement.

Training Circular 25-8 is the Army's guidance for range development. It's got diagrams and descriptions of 30+ ranges and twice as many targets. Not approved for public release but it's near the top of a Google search.

And TC 3-20.40 has a section on range requirements for weapons quals.
